Brown and fuller will finally have a qb that can hit them in stride when they take the lid off the defense. They will have numerous 70yd TDs . This will lead to a ton of 9 yd runs . #Golson

So its settled, we make the playoff after going 12-0 and win the Natty. I like it.

You forgot Chris brown as a gamebreaker

Purely my opinion, but I expect to see him blow the tops off opposing Ds this year. His development came to a grinding halt when Golson left. Rees just did not have the arm strength to deliver down the field, nor did he have the mobility to buy time for deeper plays. 2012 OK game is something that should happen several times this year, and should be attempted once or twice a game. With the addition of some of the other burners, no reason why CB can't blow by coverage after a few successful crossing routes or nice runs.

I'll add that I thought Brown did a very good job in the bowl game of running the underneath routes. He just wasn't in a position to see the field with Rees at QB.

I think that Golson has to start the campaign with about five or six consecutive wins right out of the gate.

I would think that we'll have to see some early fireworks for it to really pick up steam. Heck, according to some Golson may not even be the starter. He's going to have to beat out Zaire.

I am confused by the bolded? Why was his development halted? For once Brown had to learn to be a complete WR instead of just running GO routes every play. Also I hope that Golson's accuracy has improved on the deep ball because he struggled mightily with it when we last saw him play. I agree that Brown can help keep defenses honest by running some deep routes but I think last year hopefully helped turn him into a more complete WR.

Not sure if its been said on here or not but Stoops already used his in-home with Quick so we'll get the last shot there as well. Or at least the last shot of what seems to be the 2 main players. OU vs. ND.

Seriously starting to think I should just take NSD off. I can't remember another year when we had this many recruitments in motion at the end.

That's just "competition" talk.

No way Zaire is starting against Rice.

Haha, I was being facetious and taking a shot at one of the posters on here (forget the name) that has been talking trash about Zaire being the better QB and Golson isn't wanted back.... yada, yada, yada. Just having some fun.

Jojoblack. Pretty sure he is related to Malik.

It will at least be good to have a QB again with the potential to over-throw a WR on a go route. I agree that Brown had last year to work on fine-tune the other aspects of his game.

For anyone not acquainted, Torii Hunter Jr., Will Fuller, and Chris Brown have serious speed. From not having anything fast two and a half years ago, there is some speed here.

On the long routes last year, any of those guys could outrun Tommy Rees' arm. Some of them may be able to come close with Everett! Hunter in particular was kept under wraps in the bowl practices, but everybody was so wowed that Kelly couldn't keep from saying something in one of the PCs. I think Kelly said, "You will be talking about him."

And as far as Brown goes, his value is to run the top off of a defense, and with TR that wasn't going to happen, so he learned how to run underneath. It is splitting hairs to argue the verbiage. If Brown could have just gone and been feed the ball everyone sporting NG gear would be better off, in my opinion.

I seem to recall that his long-ball accuracy vastly improved over the last six games of the season. Is that just me misremembering(thank you Roger Clemens for that word) through my fandom?

It did get better but not immensely better. I think that his grip using the laces and his work this offseason will show him to be a better passer by far than what we saw 2 years ago.

Golson went 1/6 on that post route to Brown in 2012. The Oklahoma game was the only time they connected.

SERIOUSLY. It drove me crazy how C Breezy was always open on that route, but after OU Golson could never hit him.

@ONLYFORAKING: Notre Dame offered

From fournette p's school, CB is favoring OU. He decommitted from Texas earlier this month.
