being from Jersey, I do the same. Although I do not blame him for remaining in the best state in the union.

Also being from and currently living in NJ I fine this post one of if not the funniest post that I have read on this website.

I don't know if I should laugh at you or cry for you.

Living where you do, I'd be checking on the life raft and the axe in my attic and making sure we had enough life jackets for the family and the dog.

There is, however, no major city in America more at risk of a catastrophic New Orleans-style flood than Sacramento.

Is Folsom Dam still #1 on the Bureau of Reclamation's list of most hazardous dams?

Yeah the politics and taxes of the state suck, there is no denying that. But if you judge a state based on Camden and Newark, you're doing it wrong. Plus, the people you see glorified on the Jersey Shore are from Staten Island.

No other state I would rather live in, besides maybe Hawaii.

Spoken like a true strip mall Hot Topic cashier

Hate, hate, hate!!

In other news, North Jersey is a total dump. The Goethals Narrows Bridge connects the two most disgusting places in the continental US (Staten Island and New Jersey for those unaware). Only people from there can truly appreciate the odorous concoction of garbage and oil refineries emitted from those two areas.

Sincerely
Your typical NY Hater

PS,
We know the Jersey Shore people came from Staten Island, but the rest of us NY'ers consider Staten Island part of Jersey anyway.

PSS,
If you need to find me, I'll be hiding from Carlo's people

Back on the radar if things don't work out with Quick Lazard and McKensie. No visit or anything set up yet but there has been recent contact.

As someone who has spent time throughout the whole midwest, I really hope that is not where you are from because it is awful.

I spend time all over NJ, as it's part of the region I manage. One of my best friends entire family is from there and currently live there. You might be the first person I have ever met that think this highly of the state. It's the constant butt of jokes for a reason.

I have lived all over the country and would live in any state in the midwest over Jersey. In fact, Jersey is near or at the bottom of the list for states to live in. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are in rare air with your love of the Garden State.

Fair enough. Don't feel like getting into an argument over a state haha.

Took an unofficial to Penn State last weekend.
Saeed Blacknall visits Penn State; is Rutgers in danger of losing top recruit? | NJ.com

"I found out this weekend he was going to Penn State for a visit," said the source. "It was an unofficial visit."

According to the source, Rutgers not having an offensive or defensive coordinator in place was the most recent source of discontent. The source wasn't sure if Penn State would be Blacknall's destination if he were to flip his commitment, but he did confirm that Blacknall was, at least, looking at other options.

Any chance we take another swing at him for the "explosive athlete" slot? Neither McKenzie nor Quick seem like a slam dunk at this point.

Pretty sure at 6'3 he's an outside receiver. Don't think thats what we're looking for right now.

I would have to respectfully disagree with this notion. Traditionally slot receivers have been on the shorter side but as of late there has been a resurgence of taller players in that position. The NFL is a primary example. Brandon Marshall, Jordy Nelson, and Calvin Johnson have all been used as a slot receiver quite extensively just this past year.

I am not sure Blacknail fits that mold however, but it is unrealistic to generalize that just because a receiver is tall he is unable to play in the slot. Heck just over the last 2 years we have utilized more H-back type tight ends in the slot than actual slot receivers.

Difference between lining up occasionally in the slot and being a slot receiver... I want a LB to cover CJ rather than their #1 CB but I also need CJ to line up outside in order to open the field.. Staying inside the box will allow the D to load the box, cut the field by 1/4, and suffocate the run game

Wtf. Franklin is such a duche. Mike Francesa from the wfan had him on the show on wed and Franklin was a piece of shit. Franklin avoided all tough questions and then was getting snippy. I have a feeling he is going to destroy that school that is already hurting from scandal.

He was on the radio here in DC, too. LaVar Arrington was straight kissing his ass and it was basically a recruiting advertisement for Penn State. LaVar seriously spent more time pumping Penn State and chanting "WE ARE!" than asking hi real questions. Got on another radio show without a PSU alum tossing soft balls and he came off as a total prick.

I think he can be a GREAT coach because he clearly has the energy and drive to be great. Many great coaches are borderline psychotic like Franklin seems to be. He also is going to absolutely kill it in recruiting (once they get off sanctions) the same way Urban does... he's going to be a great pressure recruiter and salesman.

My question is what happens if he doesn't win? Does he implode? Do people turn on him? What happens if he DOES win? Does he actually stick at Penn State or jump to the NFL?

Agree with Lax. I think he will kill it post sanction if given the time.

Also having a hard time understanding all the hate being thrown Franklin's way. Are people really still po'd about him rankinig the SEC above ND two years ago, or is there something else.

I think that may be part of it for many. For me I always thought he came off as a complete tool. This is the coach who said who would not hire coaches without hot wives. He also called out a recruit (not by name) on radio for picking another school. He said that anybody who doesn't choose Vandy is settling in life. This is a guy who just keeps saying things that sound like a pushy used car salesman. I personally cannot stand to look at the guy because his face begs to be punched. There is plenty to not like about him.

For me this is Shaw. Shaw's smirk makes his face incredibly punchable.

I still don't know why everyone got upset about that. The man admires a good looking woman. Nothing wrong with that!

I have no problem with the man liking a good looking woman. Get a porn sub if you need to see hot ladies. Go to the local clubs. For that matter just walk the streets of Nashville and you're sure to find a handful of nice looking females. But you hire the best damn coaches in the business to win football games no matter what their wives look like. Kiffin's wife is nice to look at, but he is a terrible coach. It comes off to many as if he is saying, "You wanna coach on my staff? Then your wife better be stripping for me and the crew at least once a week!"

I think people may be making a bit too much of what he said about coaches' wives. I listened to the interview, live. While there was some legitimacy to what he said, it was more of a tongue-in-cheek comment.

He was asked about recruiting. And he used the coaches' wives comment to illustrate that he wanted to hire, and keep on his staff, coaches that could sell to recruits. The attractiveness of a coach's wife was a way to indicate that he was a closer and could sell who he was and what he had to offer-- that while there may seem to be better choices out there, landing star recruits (read: women) is a quality coaches need. I think every coach and fan base, to some degree, agrees with the theory.

I've been vocal before about how I probably dislike Franklin as much as anybody out there, but I don't really knock him too much for this one. Again, it was more of a tongue-in-cheek comment. A comment said, by the way, on a station who's star personality is a guy who started a website called, "Outkick the Coverage." Outkicking one's coverage is often talked about and mentioned throughout the day (on all local broadcasts) about women.

** As for the bolded, I'm guessing you haven't been to Nashville or spent much time here? There's quite a lot more than "a handful of nice looking females."
