Daddy likes.

Why? Because Dantonio and Narduzzi won't be there forever. When they leave, MSU will go back to just an above average team in a below average conference. And their recruiting will follow. But for now, shove it up O$U's asshole.

Narduzzi yes, but where will Dantonio go? you would think if he were to go it would have been this year with the texas opening and his stock being as good as it's ever going to be.

Jobs open up all the time, coaches go to the NFL, etc. Florida could come open soon. Hell you never know, an NFL team could come calling for him.

Another good year or two and he could land someplace like Florida, A&M once Sumlin bolts, Nebraska, UCLA when Mora bolts to the NFL, SCar when Spurrier retires, etc. Those are just examples of types of schools that would be a step up and would offer better recruiting.

right now i'd consider MSU better than all of those jobs, with florida the only exception....but you're right continued success could land him in the NFL.

Dantonio called MSU a destination job like two weeks ago. I know anything can happen, but still. He seems different.

Dantonio is going on 58 and has already had one serious heart attack.

His destination job with his new contract could only last for two or three seasons.

Wiltfong switched his CB to MSU, Sparty could really finish their class strong with Jones, McDowell, and Evans/Cage.

Osu's one real depth hole going forward is ol. They need to start four new ones next year and haven't recruited the position well since urban got there. Really hoping they suffer defections because along with Michigan osu is our stiffest recruiting rival in the Midwest

Supposedly that visit is off. Sounds like Knox is sticking with Urban. Still doesn't counter the fact that OL recruiting at Osu has been below average the past 3 years. It's going to be a major issue for them, especially in '15 when Miller is gone. Remember when we were all upset when Urban took Warriner and Decker? Lol, it was the best gift he could have given us.

From reading the pOSU boards, they think Warriner is AWESOME and his ability to get the most of his OL. If they continue recruiting OL like this, his ability to get the most out of his OL may not be enough.

It's funny because they THINK Warinner is good. We KNOW he isn't the best because Hiestand has worked absolute wonders with the OL relative to what Warinner was able to do.

I don't know...I was happy that he was gone once I heard our O-line talk about Heistand in comparison to Warriner, and while I think Warriner did a serviceable job here, Heistand has been much better IMO.

But in fairness, OSU's o-line has done very well under Warriner, and has been much improved over the previous o-line, according to OSU people who I consider to be good at what they do. From afar, they sure look good.

The problem is that his recruiting has SUCKED balls. ANd we're going to see how well he does with a thin line. How will an injury shake them up? Will he be able to do what Heistand did this year, which is basically stand on his head to replace all 3 interior starters (2 of which were replacing first-year starters who were performing well)? So for me, I give Warriner credit for his on-field performance so far, but his poor recruiting takes away from that. He'll definitely have to earn his paycheck this year with what they have coming back...

This is exactly right. Warriner did a good job coaching at ND, (in contrast to his predecessor.) That would be the guy that broke Sam Young's career. And he didn't do much of a job recruiting; but this is the difference between him being at ND then and OSU now. Ironically, at ND there were other super-recruiters that made up for him and kept better and better talent coming in. And then their was Harry, who outshines him in both catagories. But that leads us to forget one important point. The question is, who is there that can recruit on the offensive line for Dave Warriner at OSU now? Bringing in less talented recruits, and impressing them with a shot at playing for the Buckeyes, is only going to last so long. With Mewhort gone, their line next year my be worse that the problems Michigan has. After all, Michigan sucked royally on the offensive line last year, did worse as the season progressed, and lost their two "stud" tackles at season end!

It will be interesting to see what kind of thing the conflict between Warriner's desire to be an OC versus OSU's need for competent linemen will produce. Wasn't that the source of Warriner's discontent, nowhere for him to go?

Warriner may not have been a tremendous recruiter at ND, but I credit him with getting our running game going again. Our OL was not very good when he came in. In the Weis era our RB's were having to make cuts in their own backfield because of missed assignments and bad technique. He's obviously a very good coach on the field, as he was able to do the same thing at OSU and get their OL working in a short time. I'm glad we've got Harry, he's certainly proven his worth in pass blocking given the few sacks given up the last two years, but I think we would have been fine under Warriner too if someone else handled recruiting OL.

Dantonio is there to stay. No other way around it. I'll run a naked mile through EL if he ever leaves for another program.

Not much info available on Jamarco, but Crystal Ball is picking up some steam for MSU including the Ohio State 247 guy who switched his to MSU today.

Lot of OSU guys are a bit nervous. I think Jamarco is their highest rated Tackle right now and a lot of predictions have been switched to MSU recently. Word is Jamarco will make his decision tonight, but no idea if he'll announce it before tomorrow.

Jamarco just tweeted "O-H" on his Twitter page, so it looks like tOSU will hold on against Sparty's late bid.

Haha he is just looking for twitter love ahead of tomorrow's announcement. I say O-H, you say I-O. That cheer annoys the shit out of me.
