Grant is gonna give BVG a run for his money on best flow in the locker room.

p.s.

look of the size of his hands....WOW.

or am i just exaggerating??

He has some physical traits that the staff believes can yield a lot of growth in the weight room. This is according to TJ back when he committed. Like Ironman said he reminds me a lot of Niklas but a slightly smaller build at this stage.

This kid's upside is as high as almost anyone in the class. I absolutely love this kid, and the change in scheme from Diaco to BVG will actually help him a ton. He could be a absolute terror as a one gap DE (so could Hill in his own way).

I am getting slightly jealous here Ironman. Your trying to one up my man crush on Grant, haha.

What a wonderful world it would be . . . . Leaving!

PS. I went to h.s. with a guy that was 6'4" when we graduated, but is north of 6'6" last time I saw him. I mention this because he wears a size twenty something ring, the kind that is as big as Bronco Nagurski's, that a golf ball fits through. Second biggest hand I ever saw, until I shook hands with David Robinson.

He looks like what you would get if Macklemore was a DE and not a musical artist.

Has he added more weight?

Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

The latest I have seen has put him close to 255-260 range. Have to think he has a real shot of seeing the field if he can get up to 270 by the time the season rolls around. I'm excited to see what he can do!

II has a note that Texas also came after Grant Blankenship late (along with Hill and Watkins), offering him a scholarship to which Grant quickly said no thanks.

His coach states he is at 6'6 1/2 and is 260 lbs right now. Love this kid's potential.

I would be lying if I said I don't love hearing this. Bravo Grant.

Isn't that all three Texas recruits that have said "no thanks" after committing to ND?

It definitely can't hurt any year, but doing it in Jerry World was huge. I love that we're scheduling more games in Texas because the talent pool is DEEP. A couple of my buddies got drafted and/or made NFL practice squads the last few years that weren't highly touted recruits in any way. There's a reason the ISD stadiums look like college fields.
