Don't know if Justin will grow any more, but if he does he'd be a great safety prospect. As is, I don't know if he has the athleticism to play CB/WR/RB at the next level. Needs about 2 more inches to be a high 4 safety prospect in my book and better than Drue (which is saying something, because I really like Drue as a player).

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Carroll 2015 athlete Justin Tranquill won upperclassmen MVP honors. He stole the show during 1-on-1s as a cover corner locking down the event’s top receivers. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Tranquill is a safety recruit that gives a defense a lot of flexibility with his cornerback skills and ability to run and flip his hips. A very fluid athlete that should see his stock rise faster than his older brother in Notre Dame commit Drue Tranquill did, the younger Tranquill could also play receiver on the next level as well. Purdue has offered and he’s scheduled to visit Indiana next. Look for things to pick up soon for Tranquill.

With today's targeting rules, I'm not sure tommy would finish a game. Loved to watch him play, but that was a reckless dude.

I don't think it's an indication of Tommy's athleticism that he got burnt, I think it was a cluster **** of problems on defense/defensive coaching. The kid was incredibly atheltic and probably the last really good Punt Returner we had. He had a real nose for the ball. I agree with the point on athletic linebackers though. We've been kind of slow in that area aside from Jaylon, we could use him at LB more than Safety right now.

He doesn't run a "legit" 4.45... that would be truly absurd. But he is an incredible tweener. Similar athletic profile to Harrison Smith from what I've seen on film... maybe a tad less athletic. I think he has 1st round draft pick upside at SS or WOLB depending on how things go once he gets on campus.

The best thing is that he has a great head on his shoulders. Can't undervalue attitude and work ethic and character.

Yeah, look at Zeke Motta who was an "elite" recruit from Florida. Tranquil has a very similar build with substantially more footspeed than Motta.

And much better hips than Motta as well. Motta was very very stiff early on.
