Evaluating another new DT, Edgar Cerenord who is a teammate of McKensie. Pretty good offer list and he was excited to talk to the staff last night.
We're like 24 short of a full class
the following year is scholarship light, I believe. It wouldn't be completely tragic to save a couple of scholarships [unless we really have studs to sign]. Our current depth chart [assuming keeping the commits] is pretty three-deep good.
We can't keep putting 75-80 guy rosters out every year. It's not "doom and gloom" if it's true. Have we ever fielded a fall roster with 85 guys?
Our best case scenario right now is about 82 guys by NSD. At that point, we have to hope that all end up enrolling, no one gets hurt and no on transfers.
Anybody see that happening?

'24 short of a full class' is not true. Thus, I labeled it a doom and gloom gross exaggeration.

Have we been short on the 85 historically, and is there a very good chance we do it again this year? Yeah, and it sucks. Everyone wishes we were at 85 - I am sure BK and staff most of all. But there is no need to go overboard.
No one but our early enrollees has signed the dotted line yet. That's why I said 24 short. Might be off by a couple. Stop spinning my words.
How is it considered 'spinning your words' by quoting you verbatim?
You guys would be surprised how few schools actually get to 85 schollies to start a year. Hell, Pete Carroll was routinely in the 70's and very low 80's when fall camp started (he used to then give schollies to walk-ons with 4.0 GPA's to help their API. He was no dummy). I don't have the numbers in front of me, but 80-82 players on scholarship in fall camp is nothing new for the top programs.
Now, we should be at 82-83 this year, and I'll be disappointed not to be. But it's not the end of the world if we're at 80 scholarships, it's really not IMHO.
Love gloom and doom gross exaggerations.
Most reports say we would take 2 DTs if the staff liked them both. I hope we land Griffin and Sawyers personally.
If we landed both I would be extremely pleased. Sawyer actually plays 3-4 DE for his HS school team so I like the versitility that he has and Griffin I think could play NT at 330 after some seasoning.
Also rumors we offered the DT from Texas, Lealaimatafao (Good luck with that Dan Hicks)
I hope this doesn't put LAX over the edge, but....
Not offering Hubbard seems pretty idiotic at this point...

Why is that, we short on CATs, DOGs or DE's?

@TreyL55: Notre Dame offered! #GoldenArmy
Can you explain to me where IM8 spun your words? I fail to follow your posts any differently than did IM. Do you suspect we literally will not field a class this year?
There ya go. Thanks for the tweet.

You and IM8 weren't alone in how you read the first B.S. post nor the second.
