Pretty sure contract ends after this semester. Wouldn't make sense to extend into the fall semester but not the winter. Adidas would want to profit from both football and basketball

So not that anyone cares but here's my 2 cents on the switch. I've always been partial to Adidas mostly from my background in soccer. My second choice was then Nike, I hated UA until 2 years ago. I happened to by some of their dry fit work out gear, as well as some of their dry fit hunting gear. The fit, function and level of comfortable was off the charts. Now I haven't bought any shoes yet so I can't speak on them but as far as golf shirts, and standard sports gear they've come light years in the past 2 years. The bigeat complaint i have with UA and college unis is their design, and you all know as well as I do that ND will have full control over all design. I think this will be a good match, ND will again be considered the crown jewel of their uniform company.

The way I look at it. Notre Damed can lead the UA market. The Irish will be the darlings.

Shit changes all the time anyways, whats cool now will be crap in 3 years.

You can't make everyone happy and recipients of free stuff should be more grateful and less vocal. I bet UA does a great job.

Keep in mind, gentlemen, that Adidas named the skunkbears their company darling. With UA, we'll be the focal point of the company.

Ugh, this also means with no NCAA Football 15 I'll be stuck with outdated unis.

My alma mater actually switched from Adidas to UA while I was there. The nice thing about UA compared to Adidas is that they generally make cooler / better designed plain athletic gear that they sell in the bookstore. Expect to see an increased selection of unique designs available online.

Most of the players are roughly around my age, so I'm sure we basically think the same about this change. I prefer UA to Adidas, but I'm 90% sure the players wanted Nike. Adidas is honestly sorta lame when it comes to American sports. Those low top cleats aren't good for football. I had some a year ago and they looked nice, but that's all. UA products work well.... For about a week. Their stuff's durability is incredibly short lasting, but I doubt the players will use the same cleats, gloves, etc so it should be cool. I'm just happy to leave Adidas tbh

Sources say Under Armour founder and CEO Kevin Plank flew to South Bend, Ind., on Thursday to meet with school officials.

That tells me that UA isn't playing around with securing ND. I think this will definitely be in Notre Dame's favor.

Plank hooked Coach Taylor up with sweet UA duds at a reduced price in Friday Night Lights, even threw in free caps for the coaches! I am down with ND going with UA. Don't like the "Baby Gap" numbers they have used at USC and Auburn in recent years though, hope we dont see those at ND

ehhhhhhmmmmmmm....... I don't know how I feel about this. It could be really good, or it could be Freakbass bad..... jk nothing will every be as bad as Freakbass.

I have to wait and see what the merch looks like. I am hoping for like 20 different dry fit shirts to choose from. If the dry fit line of clothing is really cool than I will be happy.

Maybe all the players will have the same uniform now.

I am also an Adidas guy for myself, but this is a really good move. Being the primary school in their stable will be huge. I am sure the general merchandise in stores will be a big upgrade.

I'm definitely an Adidas guy but over the last year or so i have been buying UA shirts and jackets and in my opinion the product is a little bit stronger overall from UA. If anything this switch helps the fan base more than the actual football team, we get a shit ton of new merch to choose from

The impact goes well beyond football. All other sports use this, too. This is not a good day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there an Adidas HS AA football game?

Adidas is for soccer. UA is better suited for ND IMO.

Flee
1. to be fresh; originated in New York
2. to get fresh
3. to have the best clothes and sneakers; looking crispy

Thanks. I try to keep off of Urban Dictionary on my work computer. Reps.

Out of reps for you, but lol. For the record, Greg "We Gone Look Hella Flee" Bryant has maintained his academic eligibility, but DaVaris Daniels could not. Can't wait for someone else to tell me about how hard life is for a big-time football player.

UA knows what they are doing... They know who they just signed with,... They're not going to piss off the high water pants/overalls traditionalists by pulling a Maryland at ND... They'll have a funky SS thing and prob leave it at that.

The thing about the Maryland uniforms. There is a .000000001% chance the AD was like " make us some cool looking uni's to wear", they would've run designs and the such by him or whoever is in charge of it.

Don't expect anything crazy unless ND approves crazy.

Exactly... And for the record it thought Maryland's unis were an upgrade... They were just as bad before, and now they at least tied into the state flag...
