A name to keep an eye on as a potential late addition to the DL at NG. ND has rumored to have reached out to him, and with Franklin looking out at Vandy, he will likely be looking around.

Tony Riccio brought his name up on II as a guy he heard ND and FSU were checking in on, and Pete Sampson replied he is looking into it, and that Vandy's situation 'may be beneficial to ND'.

We'll see if it actually turns into something meaningful.

Love his tape. Kid is very athletic for his size and plays with a mean streak. Would love to see a lot offer going out to him. I'd rather add him to the fold than several of the guys left on the board. Very good prospect at a position of need.

This may go in a different place but since he is a nt I feel it could be appropriate. Does anyone really know what type of defense we will run next year and into the future. I have heard that Kelly wants to keep running some sort of 3-4. Van Gorder has previously run a 4-3. This does matter for the future of how we recruit so I was wondering how our defense will change.

Anyone else think his tape is slightly sped up? Idk everyone just seems to be moving to fast for HS.

Would love him as a late addition. I like him better than Elam already.

I'm guessing academics are important to him. With Franklin leaving and our depth chart, we seem to be a perfect fit.

Nice offer list...have we offered yet? Number 73 isn't too shabby himself.

Anybody can speculate on whether we are or aren't playing a 3-4 next year but I have seen nothing other than that to prove we would change. II and TJ have been saying that Kelly's preference is to play muliptle fronts with a 3-4 base. Kelly himself said that he will be looking for DC's that can coach multiple fronts. He must feel that Van Gorder can do just that. Jets play a 3-4 right?

Also, I like this kid as well. Seems much more realistic than valentine.

Thanks thats what I would assume and this would still lead to the need for a nose tackle type player. Sawyer would be great addition and would be able to be fast and push the pocket and control the two gap

Jets play a 3-4 but VanGorder has been a 4-3 couch most of his career

Yeah, Woody Wommack chimed in on Jake's thread about preliminary contact and interest and said he talked to Sawyers last night and he had in fact talked to ND. He is reportedly very upset with Franklin / Vanderbilt and will likely take officials. ND is trying to get one, along with Tennessee and Georgia.

COME ON MAN!! They are already at 33! How can they continue to make room for this many kids and continue recruiting as if they have 17 spots left. Sorry I don't want to derail just had to vent a bit.

I'd love to see him get on campus because if he liked Vandy we have everything they offer from an academic and athletic standpoint....only better.

Do want, kid plays extremely violent. Definitely passes the eye ball test with his size

when you down in the SEC you gotta use every trick in the book to gain "parity". See Ole Miss in recent years.
