Not necessarily. I'm sure he's been given chances in practice to show he deserves to stay in the league.

The NFL is the best of the best, and though I like Cierre, he must just not have what the best football franchises in the world want. Talent rises to the top. There are tons of players succeeding in the league that made stupid decisions in college. NFL is just such a different beast than college football.

He was about to rise to the top. His mistake wasn't made in college. It was made in the NFL. How many NFL rookies are even getting signed by other teams when they do something as stupid as getting caught smoking weed in his hotel room?

Cierre will end up somewhere.

But Cierre is an undrafted player who is fighting to have a place in the league.

The Steelers did not do nothing with James Harrison but for the same reason they cut Chris Rainey.. one was a star and the other was a regular rookie like many others.

He was supposed to sign earlier in the week but there had been a paperwork issue at the NFL offices. Now it's official though

Interesting little tidbit, Cierre and Jonas Gray essentially traded places. Cierre was with Patriots PS, then was released and signed with Ravens. Jonas on Ravens PS but now signed with Pats.

Well, I found it interesting...

As talented as CW is, there are a lot of guys just like him out there trying to make or stick with a team. It's a dog fight and if you're not one of the elite talents, most teams won't put up with any shenanigans. He's getting another chance with the Ravens, but if he gets cut again because of weed he'll be done.

...good for Cierre. Hope he cleans up the things he needs to, and strings together a couple seasons w/o issue...

I really thought he was going to be at least a backup/change of pace who got 3-10 carries and a couple shots to catch the ball every week regardless of where he signed on...I hope he does that and more...

Probably got lost in the signing day stuff, but Cierre signed his "LOI" with the Ravens it looks like.

Are there any Provinces in Canada where weed is legal?

If so... do they have a CFL team in that Province?

Vancouver has lots of ganja, legal or not.

He can sign with the Seahawks or Broncos and enjoy the ganj too.

Don't think his agent didn't reach out to both organizations..early and often.

Maybe he should sign on with Vancouver and then commute from Bellingham. But he'd get so stoned that he'd forget he had a dime in his sock when he was stopped at the border.

Clowns got jokes...

Here's hoping for CWood's professional success, in the league or elsewhere.

Yeah... I got jokes. ANYBODY who lets their affinity for ANYTHING stand in between them and their long term happiness and security gets my jokes.

That being said, wish weed was legal, wish he didn't like to smoke, wish he wouldn't have gotten caught, wish nothing but the best for him in Canada or in the League if it presents itself again down the road.

Till then... I got jokes and he's got tokes.
