Probably a case of Jake Brown being stupid... although it's hard to see any SEC school ever being "full"...
This report of them being full came from the Ole Miss guys and they were emphatic that it was the case.

This was my first thought when I saw it first reported that they were full... also, Morgan was their top LB target... it's like a world where Lo. Carter has a ton of interest in ND but ND says "no thanks, we're full"... i don't buy it... I think things just simply trended away from Ole Miss

Nyles also just retweeted Steve Wiltfong's tweet about switching his Crystal Ball from Ole Miss to ND...

Not sure if those that have 247 can see other teams updates as well but here is this

@SWiltfong247: A #Vanderbilt related update on Top100 LB Nyles Morgan: Nyles Morgan Update

Franklin doing an in home with him this weekend. He isn't visiting. Steve thinks his top 2 are ND and Vandy

II has been behind on just about everything related to recruiting lately. It almost seems like they wait for the story to break, have one of there subscribers post it, and then try and figure something out. IMO, they are doing a worse job than when Sapp first left 247. Count this guy as one that thinks Nyles doesn't have time for his Vandy official but will have time for an ND stop.

I think this is a situation where Ole Miss fans know he's not coming so they say they're full anyway. All fans do this. Word is Morgan's parents were strongly opposed to Ole Miss preferring ND and Vandy as his choices.

Any idea how the Diacco decision will affect his recruiting?

@TJamesNDI: #NotreDame LB target Nyles Morgan last week after Martin left: "It does have an impact on me but not as much as losing my position coach."

So wait, that tweet is all one quote from last week?

If so, that's really ironic. Almost like Morgan knew Diaco might bolt.

YUP. This move likely cost us AT LEAST Tuitt (the best player on the defense), Morgan (arguably the most important prospect on the board), and Yeargin (meh).

It may cost us more assistant coaches and more recruits. Only time will tell.

He'll be in the Morgan household tommorow. Needless to say that is gonna be huge

Do you know this for sure?

I think you're over reacting a little. Tuitt is upset, but give him time to calm down and let BK talk to him. The only assistants we might lose will be those who aren't the core group. You can be an assistant at ND or UConn. Think about it.

BK was not so naive as to think this couldn't happen. Probably the reason he took over Nyles' recruitment. I'm not going near a ledge right now. Think we will be fine.

Afraid you'll find some of us at the bottom?

Yeah, I'm not saying that for sure, just what I think will likely happen. I could definitely see it going the other way... I'd just bet on that being what likely happens. I think it depends a lot on what happens with the other coaches on the staff.

Dont get me wrong stability is great but this is a good teachable moment fot this recruit considering the linebacker coach at Ole Miss left as well. Both cases of these assistants leaving demonstrate why one should commit to not only playing football for but what a particular university has to offer as a whole.

As to the Tuitt tweet, people do go to ND to "get something and then leave". In Diaco's case it was exposure as a coach on a national stage. Hopefully in Tuitt's case it will be a degree.

Great. Point. I was wondering about that ... it all makes sense now.
