Now it is time to start the procession of American Whiskies.

First up is Henry McKenna Tax Stamped (late 70's-early 80's).

We just put Green Bullet by Green Flash on tap at work. It's triple IPA, 10.1% ABV. I didn't think I'd like it, because I figured a triple would be pretty hoppy. But it was good, it has a coffee flavor that I associate with porter. The stuff's expensive though. We're charging $12.50 for a 10 ounce pour, and we're not even hitting our target margin at that price.

It's nice. I wanted it to be better. But better to me is super hoppy.

I am not a huge fan of the GF GB. I have had a 12oz bottle and had it on tap. Has a couple of weird off notes too me. Having said that I normally like Green Flash's hoppy beers (West Coast IPA and Palate Wrecker IIPA are both awesome).

Split bombers of St. Bernardus Abt 12 and La Fin du Monde with my support staff over lunch today. Something about the Abt 12 was off; very disappointing, as I had hyped it to my co-workers beforehand. First bad bottle I've ever gotten from a Belgian import.

Kirkland Signature Medoc 2011 (70% Cab/30% Merlot). Not bad at all for the price. Cherry, licorice, vanilla, and some earthy notes. Also a little cooking spices. Rather dry. Good QPR.
