A few random thoughts:
Yes, Tosh, can recruit. But so can Orgeron. The difference, to me, is that Orgeron can really coach DL too. He did it at Miami, he did it at sc, and he even did it at Ole Miss (Jerry, Hardy) as the head coach. He's put a ton of DL into the league. Even somebody like Ty Willie should be able to recruit at sc though. So Sarkisian and Tosh together, should be able to recruit well, but how well they (and his staff) coach is another story.
Why are people proclaiming Sarkisian, himself, a great recruiter??
Yes, Super T turned UW into a dumpster fire, but they are historically a very good program. Hell, a few years before they went winless, they only lost 1 game...and probably got screwed out of playing for the Natty. They've won a Natty since ND has, they ended Miami's record home-winning streak, they put something like 5 or 6 consecutive (I believe) starting QB's into the league. In my opinion, the depths they sank to under Super T says a lot more about him than it says about the UW program and job.
Which brings me to Mora possibly going there. Sure, I could see it happening. It's not the lateral move many make it out to be. UCLA is Michigan St.-- they're always going to be little brother...but in their very own city, let alone state. He's an alum. He's an established unscrupulous guy. I won't believe for one second he isn't going there until they hire another guy. Now I have no clue if he will ultimately go there, but yeah, I could definitely see him going there.
I've brought this up before on IE and have never gotten anyone to corroborate or dispel this story on here, but I've heard from 2 different people, even just here in Nashville, that Petersen has a child with special needs and he thrives at his school/environment in Boise. Petersen and his family are extremely happy in Boise. This is the reason he hasn't/isn't leaving. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it would make sense. Anybody ever heard anything like this before?
