I don't get it the worrying. Kiffin was also an amazing recruiter. Weis was an amazing recruiter. Recruiting matters, but only when the coaching is there to utilize recruits to their full potential.

Will Sark be a homerun? Maybe, who knows. But guys like Peterson and Franklin have a better track record of maximizing available talent.

He might be able to recruit, but to me the jury is still out on how good of a coach he is.

tosh has been named recruiter of the year before and is highly regarded as ONE of the best when it comes to recruiting...this year hasn't looked as good for them on the field as they were expecting which is why the down year....but mix him in w/ the california hot bed in recruiting and it is going to get tough....remember the haul he had at cal and then tedford got axed...he took them mostly all with him to washington...getting a kid interested enough to come up to washington is hard enough, now come look at the shiny new car...$hit sucks if true


also he is a high energy guy who is young...see how the players rallied behind coach O...same dynamics...the players love him

Lol yes I am.... USC will recruit well regardless of who the coach/assistants are. James Franklin would recruit just as well if not better than Sark + Tosh. The best news is that Tosh breaks rules and maybe he'll get caught at USC and bury them some more. Tosh vs. Orgeron is basically a push, too.

I can literally think of 30 people off the top of my head I'd be more afraid of at USC than Seven Win Sark. Goes from borderline hot seat at Washington to USC head coach. Hilarious.

i said this a couple of weeks ago...he would be a great recruiter, players coach...see how much alford gets kids to even come up to the bend?? same type of guy...although you can probably understand tony a little better...but how good would it feel for Coach O to stick it to USC and come to the hated rival?? i would welcome him w/ open arms...just have BK lay down that no transactions are happening

I don't think most around here realize how much the players/alums/fans loved Orgeron and how absolutely pissed they are about this hire. Would be like ND going out and hiring Paul Chryst.
