Will be interesting to see what he can do with all the talent that is at SC. Will be even more interesting to see if he can keep bringing it in.

I'll hold off on panicking until we see who he hires around him, but USC made a smart choice.

I'd reverse these. I'm not that interested in whether he can keep bringing in top talent; I think that's a foregone conclusion. He will bring in top talent. As others have pointed out in other threads, his record at UW is just so so though ... I'm more interested in whether he can take that talent and turn it into wins. UW has won some big games but lost games they should have won, you know?

Wonder if Tosh go with him and accept probably a smaller role than the one he has at UW under Ed O or if he stays at UW.

I expect Ed O will be a very high paid DC/ Assistant HC

I honestly don't see much difference in him and Kiffen. As an ND fan I'm not at all concerned about this hire.

I think this is the same thing as I'm saying. I don't know much about him as far as recruiting ... so, I don't know if his W-L record was a coaching thing or a recruiting thing. He was probably hamstrung recruiting to Washington, so he may never had the talent to really make it matter. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I am concerned more about short-term effects than long-term effects, but I lean more this way also.

Sark will be up to his neck in dirt before Pat Haden can blink.

I think it has real potential to be a home run hire... time will tell.

IDK. Sark isn't really a WOW hire for me. Gruden, Sumlin, or maybe even Peterson would have made me sweat a bit. I think they will recruit well but the rest, who knows?

Anyone have any insight on UW commits that may flip along with Sark/Tosh?

Good. No Ed O or Tosh would make this a very average hire IMO.

Interesting, and makes sense if Lupoi does follow Sark to SC. Lupoi and Orgeron are essentially duplicates.

I say bring on Tosh...at a place like USC, with the spotlight already on them due to their shadiness, it would be a matter of years before something he did got USC the death penalty...and THIS GUY would fucking love that...

Ed O deserves a HC job somewhere. Anything short of that is a slap in the face IMO
