If all that happened and BK got Bo to flip, I would probably join JimmieMac in his naked lap.

The greg bryant naked lap of 2014 is picking up steam...

So he's a TE?

Basically. He apparently always has transferred high schools three times. Played his freshman and sophomore years at Greene County, his junior year at Northridge (where he was found ineligible after the season for not residing in Northridge the minimum amount of time and they were fined and had to forfeit all their games that season), then transferred to Tuscaloosa County to play with Bo his senior year. That ruling did not allow him to play at T County, so he instead then transferred to a private school (Kingwood Christian School) for his senior year.

Haha holy crap. Have to imagine there are hoops to jump through and transcript nightmares for ND admissions here.

The "angle" the Irish appear to be using is the same "angle" the Gators are using. Why else would they offer a middle of the road player such as Lewis?

That must be it. After all, SOME PROGRAMS can't offer every kid in the country. Because SOME PROGRAMS can't have 98 kids on scholarship.

But SOME PROGRAMS can offer a middling TE who from the outside appears to have some academic issues in the hopes of landing a 5* rb who just so happens to be his cousin? I don't follow the logic greyhammer.

I don't see the problem with offering someone who makes getting a better player possible. I think most (realistic) people would say that we did that with Roby Toma and Manti. Roby ended up being a good role player in our system. Definitely a good use of a scholarship. And he got the benefit of a Notre Dame degree (which I think is better than going to Fresno State), while getting to play major BCS ball at a competitive level.

As to the academic thing. We'll see how that turns out. As long as he has to do the work once he arrives I don't have a problem with it. Plenty of previous ND stars certainly weren't honors students. At the worst, the kid is getting a shot at a degree that's going to put him in a better position than he would have been in otherwise.

Would you like to do me a favor and explain the benefits that oversigning and greyshirting have for student athletes that elect to participate in the meat grinde... I mean "system"?

You can PM me if you like. Otherwise, this one is heading down the wrong road.

Don't care at all to discuss greyhammer's issues at all. But for the sake of arguing or being banned, it is a conversation best held in private. That's all.

Were you present in that whole "Oversigning" thread? If so, everyone's opinions were already discussed plenty in that thing lol

Loy said earlier today that if ND offers, he expects Lewis to end up at ND. Should hear more when they visit him during the bye week.

Had heard last week that he was solid to UF but when he talked to him personally that wasn't the case.

Can Lewis get in with all of his transfers? He has been enrolled in 4 different high schools.

New angle?

Yes but not the cousin angle that some are leaning on. People just need to sit tight and be patient. I understand there are those out here that don't like the ambiguous posts by some, to include this one, but its for a reason.

They have to remain ambiguous because of how shaky and fragile a particular situation is. If the information is tossed out before it's ready to be out, that can really ruin things. Things can change hourly or daily.

A guy like TP likes to give hope and excitement to IE but can't cross his sources or it all dries up. Again, this isn't a look at this guy or how cool is that guy. IE is one big friendship, almost 2nd family like and when good news is received, the desire to reveal it is real. TP isn't a showman or an entertainer and he certainly isn't in it for the publicity. He works hard behind the scenes to secure private information. There's whats put out in public and whats said in private and not all of it jive.

Just know there is another angle that is being worked on (outside of the cousin) and its a positive for ND. Have faith and be patient.

Completely agree 100%. I take TPs posts as such. I was thinking Bo's cousin might be the new "angle." Will do. Super psyched for this recruitment to end. Lol. #Scarbrough Folston and Bryant #ND Law Firm.
