Lord hope he doesn't go to that dumpster fire.

Say what now? What makes the eagles more of a dumpster fire than anyone else in the NFC East, or any of the crappy teams that would pick Nix?

We simply are low on talent, especially at QB. The organization is actually well run compared to Cleveland, Jacksonville, Redskins, Cowboys, and many other programs.

I'd welcome Lou with open arms and a fistfull of cash.

It'll never happen, because we need a QB, but still.

Eagles will draft a QB. Period. Likely Mariotta with how Bridgewater seems a lock for Jacksonville.

Mariotta will go before Bridgewater, first overall. I'm thinking Tahj Boyd is more likely considering where we are, and the fact that there are so many bad teams this year tanking for QBs.

You really think Mariotta goes before Bridgewater? Interesting. Got to say I could personally see it, but most experts I've seen have Bridgewater listed ahead of Mariotta right now.

The Eagles currently sit at the 10th slot, and are likely (IMO) to move up a little with Vick being out and their offense falling apart.

Tampa, Jacksonville, Minnesota all seem like locks to pick a QB... so Mariotta wouldn't get past them most likely. Giants, Redskins, Steelers won't look for a QB. Then you have Houston (yes), Atlanta (no), STL (yes?), and then Philly. So Philly would get the 6th QB unless they can trade up with someone like the Giants or Redskins or Steelers.

For Chip Kelly, I'd guess he'd look at:
1. Mariotta
2. Bridgewater
3. Manziel
4. Boyd
5. Miller
6. ...

So it'll be interesting to see if they'll have the opportunity to draft the legit dual-threat QB they want. It'll also be interesting to see if anyone stays an extra year in college and forgoes the draft.

I'm not so sure the Steelers aren't looking for a QB. Ben is getting long in the tooth. He has endured some beatings. I guess they won't look to take one with their first round pick, which is exactly your point, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them take a flyer on one in the 3rd round if they see some value.

As far as Manziel goes, I wouldn't touch him w a 10' pole.

Now, back to Louis.... I decided that my first ever ND game in South Bend would be this year's Senior Day, so I could see Louis meet his mom at midfield. God I can't wait to see that.

I'd put Bret Hundley at number 2

Easy there killer, id take our situation and direction over yours 10 out of 10 times.

We have a top 10 defense, a solid O-line, a stud WR, and a stud TE. All we need is a good young QB (easier said than done) and we are good to go in a declining division.

Nix has a small meniscus tear in his knee that usually requires surgery at the end of the season. Is having an MRI to see if it's medically safe to play on. Being evaluated this afternoon and will likely find out his status on Tuesday, this according to BGI.

Ugh. Sucks for the big guy. Hope it doesn't hurt his draft status.

To be clear, the meniscus tear is less of an issue than the tendinitis

You've also had 7 head coaches in the last 14 years. On the field, the Browns are probably better off. As an organization? Take Philly and give the points.

looks like MRI results were favorable, he'll practice this week.

He had a 50" vertical at the end of the game on the side line yesterday. I'm sure he'll be ok, at least I hope.
