Lol if Golden went to USC or Michigan or something some of you that like when he does this type of stuff would be crucifying him

At least wait till you get in the end zone

That stupid crap right there is why people take a cheap shot at you. Dance or jump up and down once you get in the end zone but don't do that. to bad he has a coach that wont do anything about it.

I agree is was stupid. He did almost get pushed out of bounds. But I about pissed my pants laughing as it happened.

Who cares if he "almost" went out of bounds? When he tries to taunt and doesn't get a TD then make fun of him. He scored. It was cool.

Idk why anyone is surprised by this. He was the same way at ND. Dude's always talkin. All in good fun though. If ever a rule change happens when that kind of stuff gets a TD called back..then I have a problem with it. Until then, go nuts and enjoy.

(Btw, is the college rule like that now?...serious question..because I thought it was.)

Cortland Finnegan is on the Rams; you know there was some serious trash talking going on down there. I don't really care, as long as it doesn't cost the team (in this case, it really didn't). Also, don't be upset when opponents start taking cheap shots at you. I wish Tate wouldn't do that stuff, but that cockiness is part of what makes him good.

janoris jenkins was also just called out for being the biggest trash talker by steve smith and this was who golden caught the ball over....so it could have been a little fuel

Steve Smith and Janoris Jenkins got into it on Sunday during the Panthers win over the Rams. Smith scored and taunted Jenkins after the two exchanged words. After the game, Smith compared it to rubbing **** in a dog’s face. It doesn’t sound like it is going to end there. On Tuesday, Smith went on WFNZ the Fan in Charlotte and had more to say about the incident(s). Via CBS Sports:

“I talk mess and I love talking mess and that’s part of the game. But I would never walk up to a guy — first of all I don’t really know outside of watching him on video — and Google his wife’s name and her birthday and call her outside of her name and call that in the jest of sportsmanship or gamesmanship.”
It also sounds like Smith took a page from Jenkins’ playbook and did some Googling of his own:

“It sounds like he needs to wear some condoms,” Smith said. “That’s what it sounds like he needs to wear.”
Jenkins, 24, has four children - Janorion Jenkins, Janoris Jenkins Jr, Legend Jenkins and Paris Jenkins. Unfortunately, if the Panthers and Rams are going to meet again this season, it will have to be in the playoffs. Hey. Why are you laughing?

Love it. There was jawing going on back and forth all game. Don't talk smack and get beat for an 80-yard TD next time.

I thought the play was kind of lame when I saw it. Mostly because he almost gets tackled and then got shoved into the padding behind the endzone. But it was obvious he was responding to trash talking by the Rams.

The trash talking and stuff is fine unless he cant back it up or produce on the field. Then its a problem, Ochocinco crashed hard and looked like an idiot, if you stop producing on the field then you keep your mouth shut and just play.

If I made that play in the NFL I would probably taunt every player near me, especially if they had been chirping the whole game

I love trash talking. To me, it belongs in the game. (to an extent obviously).

I may be young, but when I go back and watch basketball film from the 80s/90s there is NO denying that it made the game more fun to watch.

I have zero problem with it, as long as it's not physical taunting or obscene gestures (flipping the bird).

Dude...Golden has been doing this since he was a freshman at Notre Dame. He brought swag to a team that had none here.

Golden Tate is honestly my favorite player the last decade.
