We are not done recruiting him...

I paid him a visit last week, as far as him and his family, they say it is....

P.S. I (Tony) still call him every week after his games, him and I are good friends but i just don't see him changing his mind

Alford if this is you just so you know you're overrated.

btw IFIFY

Don't take this the wrong way, but who are you and why are you visiting Hood?

Man you telling me i wrote that long intro for nothing.....JK

On my spare time i scout/consualt for over 100 universities

based out of Miami originally, moved to NC in 2009

As soon as i got here i recomended Hood to Kelly and his staff, since then you know what has happened...

I have become good friends with Hood, still talk to him about ND all the time....

since 2009 look at the players that have gone to ND from NC

I haven't read everything in this thread, so I might be way off base, however.....

if his decision on where to go to school has anything to do with a girlfriend, then I say cut the cord with this dude. choosing a GF over a 40year decision says his head isn't on straight.

I disagree with that. I think it just says he's a 17-18 year old.

Think that might be a bit harsh. What if they get married and have children? Whole different kind of 40 year decision...

If I had a choice right between breaking up with my girlfriend and getting a master's degree at Stanford, or staying local and getting one at a crappier school, I'd choose to stay put. Worse 40 year decision for my career? Yup. Worse 40 year decision for my life? Nope. It's all about what's important to you.

This is going to be as painful as watching gio tear it up... If not worse.

Godspeed, Elijah.

Hope the best for him, he'll be fine. Hope he likes being on a mediocre team though.

he will probably have a better NFL career than his college one ala Gio

Honestly, he should go to Stanford.

But kid would be a stud wherever he goes. I couldn't believe he committed here when he did cause I remember comparing his highlights to GB and TF and thinking they weren't even close to Hood's level. Sucks we lost out to UNC here.

This legitimately makes me sad. For both ND and Elijah.

Folston is incredible. He is by far the best RB we have had in a long time. He's a natural back there. Anxious to see what Greg can do. This offense with Golson back could be very scary next year.

Good luck to Elijah.

Good luck, Elijah. Would have been nice to have you in blue and gold, but we'll be fine regardless. Can't blame him, he'll probably start right away next year, and it'll be for a team he's grown up close to all his life.

Good luck to Elijah.

He's carried the ball 40 times this year, 34 of which have come against Temple, Air Force, and Navy. I think he's going to be a stud for us, but its a bit of a stretch to already call him the best back we've had there in a long time.
