'14 NC RB Elijah Hood (UNC Verbal)

Doesn't matter how bad UNC gets, depending on which angle you believe it's for family/girlfriend or it's because his family wanted to take money from UNC. Whether it's for "noble" reasons or to pay the bills, neither of those conditions is likely to change.

The only scenarios where he flips back involve UNC pissing him off somehow (stopping the gravy train?), breaking up with his girlfriend... or this all being some elaborate Ocean's 11 style con to milk UNC for as much money as possible before signing with ND. None of those are likely, with the last one being a tinfoil hat scenario.

Speaking of tinfoils, here's a Hood tweet from yesterday. Not able to add context, as it was a single tweet:

Elijah Hood ‏@EHood34 19h

Hahaha they won't stop coming at me

And here's his midseason highlights:

Yeah, I'm with you. Yes, family/gf are important to him, but he's loves ND and bombing a season is never a good thing, and that's exactly what UNC is doing.

One person on here said in their opinion the recruitment's over, and all of a sudden group think kicks in and we're all talking as if we know what the hell is going on behind closed doors, and ND has cut contact with him. Maybe true, but I've yet to see that actually reported by someone who knows what's going on.

I'm going to enjoy watching Miami send UNC to 1-5 tonight.

Please provide ANY evidence that this is the case vs. common sense and the writing being on the wall for anyone with their eyes wide open. Thanks

It'd be easier to work backwards.

Everyone that posts on Elijah thinks ND is done recruiting him and there's no way he will still consider ND.

Please provide ANY evidence or report that his recruitment is over.

Thanks.

Well played. Side-step the question and re-pose it as your own. Nothing is set in stone, but based on what info we ARE privy to (i.e. the writing on the wall), the reasons he made the decision he made CANNOT CHANGE. Makes a much better case for my school of thought here than your. Anyone thinking logically will agree.

You're trying to make everything black and white so you can understand it, but there are more layers to every recruitment than you're giving credit for.

Yes, if you truly believe the factors that will weigh into Elijah decision is: 0% playing time, 0% tradition, 0% facilities, 0% program success, 0% relationship with coaches, 0% education, and 100% proximity to home, Elijah will no doubt end up at NC. Correct.

I don't think it's that simple, and I do believe he will still be recruited.

I believe the girlfriend has played a much larger role in this than people think. That situation can certainly change. But I agree with your earlier point...the sooner people move on the better. I think we still have a shot (albeit slim) of Elijah seeing the light, but I stopped caring in August.

What situation in recruiting can not change from now til signing day??? honestly? Have we learned nothing from the past decade? It most likely won't happen obviously, but it certainly still can.

There's only one man for this job: Ronaiah Tuiasosopo. That little sh!t owes us. Dunno if he can successfully impersonate a dude, though.

Holy shat that's funny! Whiskeys on the house if I ever run across you Bro!!!

That's just the thing- in not trying to make ANYTHING of this other than what it is. He claims distance and family, those factors aren't changing. I'm not saying he can't change his mind, nor am I saying the staff should give up on him. What I am saying is unless his official reasons change, there's absolutely NO reason not to have moved on. Anyone who digs deeper than that are the ones trying to make anything of this.

Whiskey with the comic relief.

I have to believe we are still recruiting him. We've kept after others before so why would this be any different?

If Elijah Hood was watching last night's game against Miami, he knows immediate playing time is available in the North Carolina backfield. Young offensive line held its own against a defensive front with a lot of speed. I think playing time had a lot to do with his Carolina commitment, more so now with a red shirt year for Greg Bryant.

Perhaps one should brush up on which nation bombed Pearl Harbor, minion.

Perhaps one should brush up on Bluto Blutarski, and his famous qotes, after all he is an esteemed member of the United States Senate. Can do!

I have a hard time believing Mr. Cando does not know about Mr. Blutarski.

We are not done recruiting him...

I paid him a visit last week, as far as him and his family, they say it is....

P.S. Alford still calls him every week after his games, him and Alford have become good friends but i just don't see him changing his mind

Don't take this the wrong way, but who are you and why are you visiting Hood?
