wow...good news to say the least. although i don't see a commitment this weekend from him.

might go a long way though to get a win against his childhood favorite

wiltfong wouldn't put down a prediction unless he thought it had legs to run on

He's coming with his parents so that is huge and generally goes very well for ND when the parents attend.

Per TV, we should feel real good about JuJu's recruitment as Denbrock has done a great job with him and Luatua. Expects him to take all five visits but expects ND to stick with JuJu throughout the process and ultimately choose ND late.

A majority that I've seen has said S and thats what I agree with but after today's tunnel vision they said we'll know more after his visit. They must want to get a better look at him.

I forget where I read this but I'm pretty sure the staff was selling him on playing next to Max Redfield.

That's gotta be a tough sell with Shumate and Redfield having a lot of eligibility left, no?

Just playing it with no surprises:

2013:
CB- Jackson (SR)
FS- Collinsworth/Farley
SS- Shumate (SO)
CB- Russell (SO)
NB- Luke (FR)

2014:
CB- Luke (SO)
FS- Redfield (SO)
SS- Shumate (JR)
CB- Russell (JR)
NB- Juju Smith (FR)

2015:
CB- Luke (JR)
FS- Redfield (JR)
SS- Shumate (SR)
CB- Russell (SR)
NB- Juju Smith (SO)

It's looking crowded. Honestly though that's a ****ing fantastic nickle package any way you slice it. I'd almost say Shumate (judging off his freshman season, which is obviously flawed) is kinda the perfect nickle and I'd swap Juju to SS.

In all honesty, I think with the way the staff has been recruiting the past couple of years, you're going to see that at many positions (like OL and RB right now), just the by-product of awesome recruiting and (hopefully) a kick *** performing team. This must be what it's like at Bama, sigh...

This is why it is so important to win. These kids come in so jacked. Finally getting to visit ND, playing a school they all grew up watching, night game on prime time. It is a huge let down to watch a loss. Especially when for a week + you have been pumped about it.

Agree..........It's hard for the staff and players to hide their disappointment after a loss and the recruits can see it.

Redfield -- JuJu
Luke -- Shumate -- Grace -- Smith -- Williams -- Russell
Tuitt -- (?) -- Day

I really think Shumate could learn the dog. And his athleticism would rival that of the way Jaylon plays.

I could see Jaylon being able to play an inside LB position in a way similar to Manti ( a little bit of everything).

LOOK AT THE ATHLETICISM!!!!

By far my favorite recruit this class...still think he would be a stud, next Marquise Lee, at WR.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of Lee.

Lee could have been a great S too. I feel that Juju could be great at either.

While I don't disagree, I think his uncanny athleticism is better served at S for ND. A duo of Redfield/JuJu would be lethal. Getting big time WR's hasn't really been an issue IMO whereas getting elite defenders has been a problem.

EDIT: To clarify, when I say defenders, I mean secondary.
