I think I read somewhere that A&M was his leader early, not sure if anything has changed since. Would be a big pull out of Texas if we could land him.

I remember reading that he's basically an A&M lock and playing in the SEC is important to him. I like the offer though. Crazier things have happened.

Per II, he is very interested in ND. Both he and his parents like the academics. He said he needs to get up to ND and talk with all the coaches. He is going to call after the game on Saturday. He was set to decide between SEC schools by the end of his season. However, the ND offer has complicated those plans. Parents were excited about the offer and he quoted his dad saying "that's an offer we have to consider because they have good football and good academics.". He'll definitely be visiting before he makes his decision. Also he excited about the game.

-On the II board the general consensus is that he would stay south and he may but Sampson said that after his interview with him he came away thinking he was an ND fit.

He has been favoriting everything JR Sandlin tweets, so that's a good sign.

Louis Nix is pretty much the reason for his peaked interest. Said he watched the UM game just to watch Nix

BGI conducted an interview with him and he sounds like a great kid. 3.8 GPA and wants to major in engineering or statistics. Like STL said he's a huge Nix fan. Coach Cooks is already one of his favorite coaches after one conversation. He liked that Cooks didn't tell him a bunch of promises, they just had a normal conversation.

He was a Rivals Camp DL MVP, and for his performance was invited to the 5 Star Challenge. Looks like an absolute TANK.

This really could have given us a nice boost with some very good prospects.

Per BGI, called the fan base electric. Put us in his top four.

What are we waiting for, we need to build cowboy stadium in South Bend lol.

This topic may be best suited for it's own thread (hell it may already exist) but I was just thinking about our future locations of the shamrock series.

Don't see it happening on west coast too often if ever because of our regular opponents and end of year road games.

The new acc opponents could eliminate some east coast locations. Although I am interested in the rumored Atlanta location.

Texas is an amazing recruiting base. The Northeast is a huge fan base and has a lot of great catholic football. Chicago was fun but we honestly should not need "gimmicks" to recruit next door.

I think if we bounced back and forth from Northeast to the Texas/Oklahoma/Arizona area we could cover the recruiting bases needed with games year to year.

I was thinking the same. Catholic area with fantastic prospects. Superdome would be good to try.

That would be a good one. And we could hopefully lure at least a mid-level SEC opponent. The opponent matters if you want to make it an event that excites recruits, you know?
Worst Shamrock game was Maryland a couple of years ago (though Wazzu in San Antonio was pretty bad, too).
Miami would be a good location one year, too.
