OMG, please don't do this all week long.
Agreed.
OMG, please don't do this all week long.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! Quit bumping his thread. This is ridiculous. He didn't get any touches because he did not get any touches. Tune in next week for an update.
STLDomer said:“@jeffgreer: 2 things I know: (1) Greg Bryant's dad is telling people here his son is redshirting, which would require an appeal for an injury-related RS”
“@jeffgreer: (2) Folks at #NotreDame say that's not accurate, that Greg still sees a lot of practice action. There's a big push from fans to involve him.”
Honestly, a redshirt might not be a bad idea at this point, especially if he's having trouble learning the offense and if we don't have a top RB coming in next year. But can he do it? He has appeared - if sparingly - in four games.
Anyone know the rules on that?
FWIW, Kelly did apparently say something today about a knee injury suffered last week.

I don't know. Devin Gardner played in multiple games and practiced all year and Michigan was able to make up a back injury years after the fact and get him a red shirt.
The NCAA has a process for giving athletes back seasons they lose to injury. It is commonly called a medical redshirt, but the technical term is a medical hardship waiver. A student-athlete’s school must .
apply for the waiver, and it can be granted or denied. Every waiver that meets the published criteria is granted, with rare exceptions.
Medical Hardship Requirements
To be eligible for a medical hardship waiver, a student-athlete has to meet the following criteria:
The student-athlete must suffer the injury during one of their four seasons of college competition or during the senior year of high school.
The injury must be incapacitating. That means it must be a season-ending injury.
The injury must occur prior to the start of the second half of the season.
The student-athlete must not have competed in more than 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater.
All of these must be proven with documentation. That means medical documentation to prove the injury and that it was*season-ending and participation information to show that the student-athlete did not play in too many contests
I don't know. Devin Gardner played in multiple games and practiced all year and Michigan was able to make up a back injury years after the fact and get him a red shirt.
I believe they claimed they didn't know he was eligible for a red shirt and they never filed the paperwork. So the NCAA allowed it because it was UofM's fault. Or the NCAA is incompetent

Nice to see he takes pride in his school work, unlike OSU players.

Gardner played in 3 games in the first half of the 2010 season before sustaining a season ending back injury. That meets the medical waiver requirements.
Rich Rod did not apply for a medical waiver before leaving UM. That isn't required.
Hoke did apply and the NCAA determined a medical waiver was appropriate for the 2010 season and the year of eligibility was restored.
Yeah, but that's the part that's made up. There was no season ending back injury. He kept practicing and practiced all through the bowl practices. There are documented reports of that.
I googled and googled and googled and could not find one report of a serious back injury from the day of the injury. The injury was fabricated. And the NCAA bought it because they're losers.
OSU.
So I take it you've already heard the news too, huh?
OK, I'll bite. What news?
I think this is the second 'transfer' type comment he's posted in the last few days. Not sure there is anything to it
Greg tweeted he got a B on a paper.
Damnit.
Me? Lol. You're way wrong on that one. My vote was to leave this thread alone. But if we're gonna bump this thing, I'm gonna collude it with bullsh!t.
Damn you type fast.
I posted that, saw yours and immediately deleted mine.
And I coulda swore it was you that threw a joking comment out about one of our young guys leaving.
Then again, I've been wrong like once before.
bump.
