Why would you build your offense around the scout team QB?

Not saying there's not a trend.
Just stating that the kid certainly has more natural talent than tommy.

I feel like if gunner knew he'd have the keys to the offense, he would have had a much different attitude. But, his lack of commitment and understanding criticism was certainly his down fall.

If he could have had Tommys attitude with his natural skills, we wouldn't be having any issues right now. (or at least not these issues)

Nice to hear he get's an extra year after that horrific leg injury. However, I don't think he challenges Kiel as starter. Legaux has always been too inconsistent. He may be the back-up, but more likely the third string QB behind Rs So. Bennie Coney, or JC transfer Jarred Evans.

I would be surprised if Gunner doesn't get the nod. He's Brendan Kay 2.0 for UC, except a better arm and a much higher ceiling. Coney has a chance to be a pretty good QB, but he's got a lot of developing to do still.

Even with the waiver, most people locally say they would be amazed if Legaux is even back in time to compete for the job.

Kiel's quest for playing time certainly hasn't panned out like he planned. Could have been the guy at ND this year, and now he's in a competition at UC.
