JM: Bold, bold, bold. Not old, old, old - which is how I'd describe the regular unis. Classic, sure, but still boring. The all-white has been done -- maybe too much -- but the enlarged shamrocks? Love 'em. The gold is seductive, and the pop of green, essentially as an accent? Not sure how it will translate on television, but yeah, I'll be watching to see. Consider me sold, sold, sold.

ML: Wait, what? Notre Dame is Irish? Huh? The Fighting Irish? Because these uniforms are more reminiscent of a certain cereal box character that has more than just one lucky charm. Too sugary sweet for me! The shamrock looks more for kids than kicking butt on the field. That being said, I do love a gold moment.

At first I thought you were crazy and the jersey just looked off since it was soaked, but you're right.

Right? Why do that up close you can easily tell. I noticed it against Temple because all of the Olineman were wearing the old style, I just thought i was seeing things, and its less obvious in the White. But those post game pictures are so evident, like why do that it looks stupid

In my experience they new style jerseys aren't exactly the most comfortable or easiest to put on. Linemen, specifically, may be choosing a different option that isn't quite so restrictive.

Thats understandable, I mean Nix and Tuitt can fit but i do understand the restrictive part, just that the new ones are a little more blue than the others, id just like it to be cohesive because if u know its different it is extremley noticeable on TV. I was at the game and u dont notice it too much but on TV its easy to see

Hokie stone is a particular type of stone only found in Blacksburg, Virginia, and in like two quarries. One of those quarries produces ~90% of the world's supply and is own and operated by the university and basically every building on campus is made from the stuff.

Hokie stone is to Virginia Tech and the golden dome is to Notre Dame, basically.

I think I read that this was just an early prototype of the design and not final too. Either way I dig it.

Re-watching the OU game, and does any else think we need to make a change on the pants?

The new helmet look awesome, but in comparison it makes the pants look mustardy, especially once they're sweated through.

I wouldn't mind them jazzing them up a bit. I think a lighter color yellow or an attempt at gold might look better.

Teams are moving away from the shiny pants. The matte stuff is apparently a new lightweight material.
