UNC is a middling ACC team who's going to need some luck to go 8-4 this season. Alford is one of the best recruiters in the business, and we have the best OL verbals in the nation right now.

Even if Hood flips, this is far from over. Still think he's Irish on NSD.

Yeah, but Hood was one-of-a-kind blend of size and speed and hands. I think of all the recruits in the class he is the only one that is hard to replace.

I also really wonder if this had anything to do with the EE thing... I know he was trying to, and I hope there wasn't a hold-up (re: foreign languages, etc.) on our end that caused him to re-evaluate options. He seemed to do a complete 180 from enthusiastic recruiter to completely dark, scrubbed of all ND tags, etc. Just odd.

I think we just need to hold onto him for another 11 days... and then it comes down to on-the-field product and OVs. Just got to get him to stay committed and take OVs.

Why are you not counting the linemen? That makes zero sense to me. 2012 should have taught you winning on the lines is the key to success.

Craaaazy. I really thought he was gold and blue through and through after he committed. Here's hoping he sees the light again.

If not, well ... it sucks. True, depth at RB is fine right now and we have plenty of time to add somebody else if we want, but Hood was a really unique talent. So, devastating? No ... but really disappointing? Definitely.
That's if the decommit happens ... still not much concrete info to go on, so I'm still holding out hope that this is nothing, or just momentary wavering.

Hahahaha isn't this the funniest part? Classic example of him being all in... man, this is such a bummer. He is truly the "type" of kid we have to have at ND. I don't know what happened. I'm guessing girlfriend or ND admin contributing to something stupid... because 9 times out of 10 those are our Achilles' heels.
