Disagree about Nick being in the same class ethically as Urban. Not even close.

Agreed. We've got a whole other thread going (Geno Smith) about what a hardass Saban is when his players get in trouble. And how many arrests got swept under the rug when Meyer was in Florida?
Saban seems like a miserable person, and he certainly appears to oversign, but he generally runs a stand-up program. He's got the resources to do so and too much at risk not to. Hell, he's even pulled Alabama's graduation rate up about 20 points in the last few years.
Meyer, on the other hand, cuts corners and created a poisonous culture at Florida, where everyone just wanted to be the next Percy Harvin. I know we love to hate both of them, but there is a difference.
That said, I think the only way ND could ever land either is if it makes changes most of us don't want to see happen. I'll take Kelly.

So you would take Saban, who is every bit as suspect ethically as Meyer?

If you don't want Urban here, then I don't see why you would want Nicky.

#JustSaying

what has Nick Saban ever done that's been on same level as Urban Meyer? Few grey shirts like the rest of the SEC? Guy is the best coach in college football and you couldn't be more of a homer if you wouldn't take Kelly or Saban.

I'm surprised that Kelly is that far behind since he's ahead of Les on defensive efficiency. I don't think of Les being an offensive mastermind.

Heck, Miles has shown a proficiency more than once for making some really bonehead decsisions. I think his record is more of a reflection on his recruiting and his coaches.

I think Meyer is a lot dirtier than Saban, but Saban has proven to be a liar and if he's lied once who knows how many times he has?

Urban is a proven and utter liar. Remember, Tebow was recruited as a linebacker.

Coaches are getting on par with politicians. Pretty soon coaching will be the world's third oldest profession.

By that theory you better crucify BK as well. Remember his exit at Cincinnati? That was really ugly.

I'm not sure Diaco would be a raise from Mattison. There, I said it.

Considering the state of the Defense during Mattison's time as D. Coord. at ND (97-01), compared to the state of the Defense, currently? I'm sure Diaco would be a raise.
