Just watched two not so good sequels, Taken 2 and A Good Day To Die Hard. Neither one was very good. Neither one needed to be made. Unfortunately they'll probably both have another installment in their series.
Feel like I look through Netflix for 20 minutes and cant find anything to watch. Anybody have some hidden gems they saw on there?

Here's my list of movies I have watch in the past two months (yes, I am a loser):
Life of Pi
Perks of Being a WallFlower
Black Swan
Girl w/ Dragon Tatoo
Once
The Pianist
Taken 2
Momento
A Beautiful Mind
Ted
Bourne Legacy
Drive
Catch Me If You Can
The Place Beyond ..Pines
Garden State
Adventureland
Almost Famous
American Beauty
The Help
Juno
Easy A
Before Sunrise
Say Anything
500 Days of Summer
We Bought a Zoo
The Usual Suspects
Up in the Air
The Virgin Suicides
Beautiful Girls
Closer
Its Kind of a Funny Story
High Fidelity
I'm not sure if these are available on Netflix, but most were pretty good. I'd recommend the bolded ones without question, and most of the others too.
I use IMDB to get an idea of what each movie is about before watching (it also gives ratings, which can be useful).
Witness for the Prosecution is pretty awesome. Anything Hitchcock is worthwhile. I'm sure you've seen the Truman Show but if not do it. Old Boy is a pretty awesome foreign flick as is the Bicycle Thief. The Evil Dead, Paper Chase, all the Beverly Hills Cops are other possibilities.
So you didn't like High Fidelity, Juno, Almost Famous, Garden State and Memento any more than Easy A?
Are you a communist or something? lol

Haha, I did like all of those more than Easy A (except maybe Juno), just didn't highlight them as they aren't great for all groups, IMO. High Fidelity and Garden State were exellent though. With Almost Famous not far behind. It all just depends on what your into though, and I'm "into" Emma Stone (well, that sounds weird).
On another note, has anyone seen Revolutionary Road or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I'm thinking about watching them soon, and wanted to see if you guys had any opinions on them.
Another I was considering watching is City Lights (1931), but I'm not a big fan of older movies. Has anyone seen it/ can shed light on how people today view it? Thanks.
Saw it a long time ago, but I remember really enjoying it, I feel comfortable recommending that one.
"Beverly Hills Cop" to show her what a classic 80s detective/comedy looked like. So many guys put "Fletch" in the same 80s classic pantheon as "Vacation" or "Caddyshack" or "Animal House." I don't see it.

Watching the new 'Evil Dead' tonight. I'll be happy if it is 2/3 as good as the original or somewhere close to that fraction.
The originals camp is what made it great IMO
I personally love Fletch, and will even sit through Fletch Lives when it is on TV. It blows my mind someone so funny became such a joke (no pun intended) in Hollywood and is F list these days. Ive always heard how nobody wanted to work with Chevy Chase because he is a gigantic prick, but it still sucks his career derailed so suddenly after a solid run of movies.
