Fournette has every intention of looking at possibilities outside of LSU.

I think LSU ends up getting Fournette simply because everyone else that he may prefer will be full at RB.

I somewhat disagree. I think it's just Bama vs LSU and every other visit is just for fun

Fournette, in fact, raved about his trip to Los Angeles and enjoyed it so much he’s decided to return in the fall.

"I don’t know which date yet, but I know for sure that I’m going to make them [USC] one of my officials,” the 6-foot-1, 232-pound five-star running back said. “My overall experience out there was real fun. The coaches are down-to-earth and fun to be around. They want to know what’s going on in your personal life and it’s not just about football. They want to know how your grades are and how your family is doing -- that’s what made me make them one of my officials because you don’t find that at every college. They kept it real with me and I enjoyed it.”

Fournette had lively conversations with his recruiter, fellow Louisiana native Ed Orgeron, and some players.

“Being in California was the best part,” Fournette said. “I didn’t know anything about USC, really. I knew they had the first 2,000-yard rusher in college football history, Marcus Allen. They have a lot of history and I enjoyed it out there. It was fun for me. Getting to know the coaches personally was cool.”

If he's afraid of competition, he should just do a quick pec flex in the mirror. This guy shouldn't be afraid of anyone.

There's a difference in being afraid of competition (a school already has one solid back coming in the class, so you decide not to go there), and not wanting to go into a log jam of talent (like at Alabama and soon to be here).

IMO LSU has nothing to worry about here. Just waiting for the day until I come on the site and it says LSU verbal

agree. He is visiting Michigan unofficially from the 12th-14th but I am 100% confident nothing even comes from this visit.

Alabama is just way too log-jammed with talent at RB IMO.

LSU lock IMO.

I agree, there were some talented QBs who got very little or no PT at USC in the 2000s. PT is everything for some positions.

However, I think talented RBs are best served playing in platoons.

Nations number one RB Leonard Fournette in Cleveland for the NFL 7on7. Confirms he will be at the BBQ in Michigan later. Grown man.

BBQ is apparently 27-28th.

If Michigan pulls that off, the NCAA will be leasing the first available space next to the Big House. No way Fournette ends up at Michigan.

Totally agree. Every time this thread gets bumped I say a small prayer before I click on it looking for the miracle. I'm most impressed with him over every player at every position. Dude is scary good.

I hope they all land there. And then decimate the SEC.

You don't drive up to Ann Arbor from Louisiana and stay in a hotel from Thursday night to Sunday morning on your own dime like Fournette is just fun.

I agree that a lot of times OV's can be just for fun because they are all expense paid, it's a free trip and you get to hop on an airplane and get to get on the sideline for a real game and have the red carpet rolled out for you.

Having said that, you don't spend your own money on gas, food, hotels and drive 15 hours from New Orleans to Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit just for fun. You do that if you are actually interested in checking out the school. He could easily wait until September and take a trip all expense paid. Fournette was just in Cleveland with his dad and his high school team for a 7on7 camp, he could have easily broken off early from that 7on7 and taken the 2 1/2 hr drive to Ann Arbor to check out the school, but the coaches were on vacation, so he decided to come back for the BBQ.

If Michigan pulls that off, the NCAA will be leasing the first available space next to the Big House. No way Fournette ends up at Michigan.

Yeah, I doubt it. First of all I still think LSU will be the team he picks in the end, but I seriously doubt him picking Michigan will set off NCAA investigations. Get real. Michigan can recruit nationally, they've done so in the past very successful. When Carr was the coach in the 90's/00's he went into Cali and got the #1 HS RB right out from under USC in Justin Fargas, he went into Texas and got Ryan Mallett a top 5 player in the nation in his class, went into Cali and stole Donovan Warren a 5* DB out of LB Poly from USC. Went into Louisiana in the 90's and stole Anthony Thomas, the #1 HS RB of his class.

Obviously times have changed in Louisiana with LSU being such a dominant program now, but my point stands. Michigan can recruit nationally, they have a lot to sell. Other top players want to play with top players, and Jabrill Peppers has been on Fournette and Hand hard, and both are at least listening to what he's saying.

Good point, lol.

I will be shocked if he doesn't pick LSU. Hometown school, LSU doesn't really lose many Louisiana kids they want except to Alabama or UF. This kid doesn't seem that interested in UF, and Alabama has too many 5* and high 4* RB's than they know what to do with. Fournette will pick LSU and basically start right away there.

I agree with this. I also think this kid starts right away where ever he goes.

Still a lot of confusion right now but he might have backed out of the trip at the last minute. UM fans are all in a tizzy.

No one is saying Michigan can't recruit nationally. But, going into La and getting what may be the best RB to come from that state in years, will be next to impossible for anyone, much less Michigan. Don't blame Michigan for trying as Fournette will be awesome. LSU remains the team to beat and will probably land him as I think Bama finally offers Roc Thomas as they should.

If it were up to be between him and Hood, I'd literally flip a coin.

idc what anyone says...hood looks special
He is and that was a huge loss for ND but that said Fournette is special, special.

He's the best RB prospects since Adrian Peterson hands down. The kid is just at another level of special than the other special RB talents.

Fournette is definitely the best RB in this class. Easily.
