Too bad if true. I was hoping he would step up. make it work. In a couple of more years not digging in won't work.

Best of luck to him.

Does anybody know any of this for truth? This is kind of serously dark? What confirmed details are there, if any?

These slurring remarks are beneath the dignity of the Board. Lynch left for his girlfriend. Probably both left for their social comfort zone [environmentally and academically] in southern Florida. Let's cut the undocumented wink-wink Har Har corner-of-the-bar remarks.

Wishing you good fortune in your life, Jordan, wherever that takes you. Wish that you could have made it at Notre Dame. Years from now, you probably will wish that too.

As Golden reported above, Jordan visited USF practice Thursday, and will meet with USF coaches in Tampa soon per Greg Auman (USF writer for the Tampa Bay Times). Good luck to him if that is the path he chooses.

I don't understand why we are so hard on the kids who want to be at ND, try, and ultimately don't make it for whatever reason. You want to crap all over a Greenberry-type, that is fine (not my cup of tea to get bent out of shape about what an 18yo does, but to each his own). But I don't have any ill will towards Prestwood, or even Lynch or Tee.

Best of luck to him. Who knows, maybe he will find his way back to ND, Julius Jones style.

Anybody know what impact does/will he have on graduation rate, academic progress, etc. for ND?

I believe he counts against our graduation rate because he was not in good academic standing when he left. But I'm not certain.

That's kind of what I was thinking, Emcee. But say he graduates by his 5th year at UCF? Would ND still get knocked if he performs there?

Yeah, that's my understanding. ND gets knocked unless he returns to ND and graduates from ND. Now, if he were in good academic standing when he left, he would simply be removed from the equation and ND would be no worse off. But the rumor is that he was not, which would put him in the "did not graduate" pile.

I wish I could cite a better source, but this is the best I can do on short notice:

Does this mean he's not going to return to ND?

That's too bad. I hope he gets it together before the clock strikes midnight and his football career turns back into a pumpkin.

I hope Jordan gets his act together and things settle down for him. Three schools in two years without ever stepping on the field. Academics seem to be the issue at all three schools. C'mon, Jordan, you're only going to get so many chances. It's up to you to make it work.

Possibly visiting USC? Seems that way from capitalization. Would be downright hilarious if he got kicked out of ND for academics, couldn't get into UCF for academics after JUCO.... but USC would take him.
