Can you tell him why "they" haven't offered?
Can you????

If I'm not mistaken he is at least 3rd on the staff's want list for the ROLB position. Carter and Williams are both rated higher.
ROLB = CAT, right? Interesting, because I know I've see that the staff told Williams he's their #1 CAT recruit for this class, but I'd have to imagine they'd want Carter over Williams.

I would have to say that Yeargin is 3 at CAT since he has the offer.
Can you????
WestCoast has my vote for #1 new poster for June.
That mother****er cracks me up
Can you???
Yeargin is evaluated as more of a DOG/ILB.
I asked you first.......
I asked him first.....
Let it go people...I wanted Biesel last year, ND never offered. Let it go...he gone.
He definitely likes ND and wants an offer, especially before his decision, but we simply prefer a few others at "Cat" (hybrid) right now. Carter, Williams, Yeargin, Garrett, etc, plus we already have Bonner there initially. He and his HS staff know the situation, as does his teammate Mustipher, and so I don't expect an offer here just yet. Possibly down the road, but we'll see.
Good prospect, though very raw.
First, we haven't offered yet for reasons already stated. Keep in mind that it's still mid-July and things could change by the time this kid (or others likewise) makes a decision. Who knows if his decision next month, assuming he makes one, would be absolutely final. Maybe not. It's unlikely we'll offer by then, but within the realm of possibility. Let's see what happens.
He is a good profile fit in many ways and Good Counsel is a terrific profile program for ND. But it's already one, especially with the Mustipher commitment. This wouldn't really elevate our "pipeline flow" in any appreciable way. We know that.
Bonner is somewhat raw in his game, but has a large upside potential as he grows further and develops. However, he's also a very solid to good football player now in some aspects of his game, especially with understanding leverage, angles, assignments, especially with use of power hands (vastly underrated but hugely important attribute for front 7 play), and with his ability to identify the ball and pursue with a burst not common for most DL and edge types. He's more football-ready than Aniebonam and a number of others rated more highly -- that was demonstrated at camp through complete workouts and in re-review of HS game tape. He isn't flashy per se, but he looks like a football player AND an athlete in his sized body/frame, and he still possesses a large upside as noted. Again, they weren't looking to take him necessarily; he made them take him, and happily. Coach Elliott has a good eye for real talent (he's had to given his previous stops) and what flashed to him initially, also more than flashed to Coaches Diaco, Elston and Kelly through camp and tapes again. And frankly, to Coach Hiestand and some of the offensive coaches who watched his performance. If they're off here, they are all off.
Couple responses on Aniebonam from TJ34:
I didn't think we were ever in it with Clifton Garrett, unless there's another Garrett that I'm not aware of.
Named ND in his top 5 with Maryland, UNC, Va Tech and Clemson. Still no ND offer though.
Not sure if anyone has scout but here's an article with him discussing his decision. I believe his decision date is August 23: Scout.com: Aniebonam Recaps UMD Visit, Decision Looming
He visited with Sam Mustipher, Aniebonam did not recieve an offer, Mustipher did. All Maryland IMO.
