I mentioned that a long time ago in another thread where we were having this conversation? Look it up. Again, ignorant or stupid? Starting to lean towards stupid. As for the language, they obviously do speak English since (as you say) they speak English on pay days. They do what they do because the person that they are dealing with is someone like you.

So here some questions for you. Some of this I have not mentioned before so I must be making it up.

What happens when the Mexicans are here (Santa Fe, NM) before there was an America? Are they still ignorant and lazy? What happens if say my ancestors came her in the 1600? Are we still ignorant and lazy? Since I have 500 cousins does that mean only 50 are hard working and the other 450 are just sponging off the system? If i am Hispanic and my family has been here since the 1600s and I speak Spanish does that mean that I am in the wrong and should only speak English? Is it a benefit or a detriment in today's USA (and the world) to speak multiple languages or only speak English? For our children, who is going to have the advantage, someone who only speaks English or someone that speaks multiple languages?

I have stayed out of this til now but it seems someone needs to rescue this from teh table pounding and name calling....... I doubt I'm that person, but maybe I'll inspire someone.

I feel for our illegal populations… I really do, their countries of origin have at times literally said “Leave, we don’t want you here, go to America, they’ll take care of you.” And for the most part we have… but realistically we can’t continue to forever… it is a hard spot to be in no doubt… for all involved. Also, this guy is obviously trying to work hard and provide the right way, at least as right as one can be without being legal…. As many others also do.

But where does sovereignty and citizenship begin to matter again in this country??? Maybe I am forgetting a nation, but many loved stating how most civil nations have universal health care so let’s have it here too during that whole debate… well, most civil nations boot your arse quicker than you can spin your head if you are there illegally, but it’s somehow irrational or worse, even racist, to simply argue we need to fix this thing somehow to a point where we once again become a sovereign nation of AMERICAN citizens… Hell my Filipino father in law who did things the right way just told me he should have done so illegally, what was the point of going through the right channels???? I see his point.
