I'm not sure how to take this comment...

My take on South Bend:

- Summer: Not bad at all. Hot like most places, but not quite as intense or long (much better than Florida, especially if you aren't on the Coast).

- Fall: Excellent. Pretty much as good as it gets for football (better than Florida).

- Winter: Cold. But not too bad since there is lots of snow (worse than Florida).

- Spring: Terrible. This is what gets South Bend its bad rep. Spring is overcast and cold. It's basically nice for the last three weeks of the semester (much worse than Florida).

Agree totally on this. There is no real spring in South Bend. It's pleasant for a few weeks at best and then it goes right into hot, sticky summer.

Weatherman of the Year!

Hey, in Toledo we had a spring this year for the first time in forever. Like when I was a kid. Was in similar in South Bend? Where the last two summers were on pace by this time (last day of spring) to blow the doors off the old records, this year has been pretty comfortable. I know the north was cold late; but what about all of you around the 40-43 parallel?

4 visits from any great recruit is impressive for our staff in June. Love the good work.

Summer in the Northern IN is like summer in Central FL...but the coast is never far away so I disagree here.

Fall is a wash imo and spot on about the winters

Im from SW MI so I have a pretty good knowledge of both states' weather.

I disagree. The humidity and heat in some parts of Florida is just brutal. I do agree that N. Indiana is not mold like northern NE or anything like that.

Per Loy, ND is trying to get him to commit but he really wants to visit UCLA next weekend so it might not happen.

Hahahahaha...Jim Mora Jr is a dick.

No laughing matter. We lost Vanderdoes due to his tampering, and it looks like he's continuing to target our recruits. I wonder if he has some dirt on Kelly.

Seems far fetched, but since you brought it up, who was the recruit that recently said "Brian Kelly is a better person than I expected?". If that kid was coming fresh off of a ucla visit, maybe there's something there...

Perhaps the kid was referring to his own memory of seeing Kelly's on-camera purple rage "coaching moments" of a year or two ago.

To be fair, we lost Vanderdoes because he is a waffling teenager. UCLA happened to be the team to land him because of Mora's tampering.

Holmes is an uncommitted recruit, theres nothing dirty on trying to recruit a player. Holmes is not our recruit, is the recruit of many schools around the country.

I've heard otherwise. Vanderdoes allegedly would have reported to ND if not for Mora's tampering.

Holmes has reportedly been close to an ND lock for quite a while now. Virtually everyone expected him to commit sometime during this visit. But now that Mora's involved, he's thinking of holding off. Nothing concrete yet, but there seems to be a pattern emerging.

I heard that he has always wanted to take his visits and that is the reason that he hasn't already committed.
