State flag one should be their fulltime helmet.

Here they all are, i think the state flag one (third from the right) is pretty cool to imo.

From left to right:

1) No. Might as well be an Illinois helmet
2) No. Hideous. As someone else mentioned, you should be good to wear that.
3) Yes. Classy helmet. Nothing fancy.
4) Eh. I like the idea, but the state flag is blue. It's weird to me.
5) No. Reminds me of Alabama. Who, btw, are slightly better than IU and can pull off that dull, throw-back look.
6) Yes. Cool alternate helmet.

So to sum up: All but two of those are horrid. I can understand the athletic department trying to build some excitement around the program, but winning games should be their first order of business.

Everyone ive talked to also thinks the one with the I is too similar to Illinois, dont like it at all. The second is too much for me, plus it looks like a weird combo of a Michigan and Oregon helmet. The regular IU one is cool, and while the state flag is blue and it may be a little weird on red i really like that one. I like the white one with the IU instead of the number, as long as its on both sides, not a big fan of the numbers and like you said its like Bamas.

As an IU fan myself, I like #2, 3, 4, and 6. I dont like the "I" helmet because IU has never identified itself as simply "I" and the # on the side is old style and not interesting at all.

I REALLY like the candy-cane strip ones. They would be great to have with a pair of candy-cane stripped pants.

I actually really like #2 and while agree that you should probably be better before you wear something like that, it still looks pretty cool. All the crotchety stuffyfarts here thinks that it looks bad, but what do I know?
