8/10 of the way through the season and not a whole lot has happened. Kinda disappointed with the season. Although my hopes were probably unmatchable.

I haven't read the books, but I have really enjoyed it. A lot of character development. These last few episodes are going to be insane.

The 2nd last episode of each season so far has been the climax. Ned was killed in the first season's second-to-last episode and the battle of Blackwater was the 2nd season's second-to-last episode. If you don't already know what happens, these last two episodes will be insane.

Have you read the books? They've altered the timelines a little so I can't guarantee when any particular event is going to happen, but if they are building toward what I think they are building toward, then the end of this season will blow your mind. Like, it's more shocking than when Ned was killed.

Gotta agree. I haven't read the books so I don't know what is coming. A few of the episodes were obviously setting up things to come -- from reading posts on here really, really big things, but for my taste I had to sit through way too much set up this season.

It was at this point I put the books down...or actually threw it across the room. Picked it up about a week later.

looking at twitter feedback fans that didnt read are freaking out. Could that episode cause a loss in viewers. BTW its kinda messed up but the ending where Catelyn is cut i could help but laugh at the random guy that just pops up and ends it.

This. I seriously considered giving up at this point when I read them.

Sometimes I watched movies or read books and rooted for the bad guys to come out on top just to see the chaos. Then I got introduced to headless Ned Stark and Rob "Full of Crossbow Bolts" Stark. I decided I didn't like that idea so much anymore.

It'll lead to a lot of new viewers. Everyone will be buzzing about this episode now.

I've read the books; knew what was coming tonight. Didn't change the fact that I still found it shocking. Extremely graphic. Not quite how I pictured it in the books, but close enough.

I agree with the previous poster, in that it will attract new viewers. I also had the same reaction when reading the book (getting angry and throwing the book down, and not picking it up for a few days). Some viewers probably had a similar reaction tonight. Vowing not to watch anymore of the show, but they'll be tuning in next week.

That's the thing about Martin, he keeps you on your toes.

It's the worst. I re-read the chapter b/c I couldn't believe it. The show did it well....the worst.

Someone needs to make a gif with Martin's head on Talisa's body when the Frey guy stabs her. Most of us would like to do that right now any way.
