ESPN published an article on Friday about when a coach leaves a program. I have published the link so you can read:
Moving on after a coach leaves a program - ESPN

I found it interesting how the article focused on USC while only mentioning the other situations. I especially enjoyed the following quote:
His departure, an extended struggle to find someone willing to fill Carroll's rather large penny loafers and brutally unfair oncoming NCAA sanctions left the Trojan fan base fretting a return to the dreary 1990s.
What about the Trojans' penalty is unfair? He touches on this again later in the article. I find it interesting that ESPN's bias towards USC is starting to become a little less as USC becomes a title contender again.

Because one guy... just one guy did all this to them... and of course SC wasn't able to keep their banners up or tweak the system to keep recruiting going...completely unfair

it's BS... SC was already on Proby when the Bush stuff happened, AND they didn't get hit just because of Bush, it was for a total lack of institutional control... I remember at the height of all that garbage having many conversations about how dirty SC was with grades, Greek Restaurants, celebs at practice and the whole nine yards… it was no secret... but yeah… just one guy… IN fact I remember many times thinking Bush was one of the few class guys there (long before anything broke)… banners still fly, they still claim everything, and have been able to tweak the scholy rules to fit players here and there to keep them from really feeling anything yet (they still very well may next season)… yet them getting hit for cheating WHILE STILL BEING ON PROBY for other garbage prior to all that is somehow unfair…. To them.

Journalism today is so biased, no matter politics or sports… the true art form is dead.

Exactly. Journalism in the modern era is ridiculous. ESPN is the worst. And the rest of what you said i agree with as well. I just can't believe people write things like this. Brutally unfair!? Really!??
