I know this gonna sound a little cray, I mean its a huge loss but Eddie Vanderdoes was a huge bonus to already a pretty unreal class. We finished with the number 3 class in the country last year, have the second ranked class this year. So far bringing in two guys with huge talent in Hayes and Trumbetti. If Kelly has shown one postion he can recruit its the D line. He can tell kids I will make you first round picks like I did with Tuitt and Nix.
If this was a WR I would be pissed because we can't land one to save our life. I am talking game breakers like Floyd and Tate. Our guys we signed last year were cute. I am just saying ND will be fine, its just one player and one guy won't make or break our program. Think of how far we have come in terms of recruiting and development. it's honestly cray. I am just saying ya it's a ****** loss but I use to get all wrapped up in 17-18 year old's decisions but I am passed that. When you lose Anzalone, Darby, Lynch, Greenberry, Neal, Kiel you get use to it. But remember we made it to the title game without them. I am as pissed as you guys are. But we are bringing in the likes of

Max Redfield
5 O lineman
Cole Luke
Tarean Folston

A dumb post? You're yet to debunk it. We don't know anything on either side right now. Remember when half this board and America was convinced he was going to UCLA on NSD? And they turned out to be his THIRD choice? Everything is speculation right now. We know there's a hold up, but we don't know if it's on one side, both sides, or what is going on. We don't know how BK/Diaco/ND admin is handling this, what they're saying/selling to EV to get him to stay, what the NCAA will do about it, what EV's parents/family/friends are saying, what UCLA's role in this is, etc. So how can you say that it's 'dumb' for EV (assuming he wants out of ND) to go through his RS year with ND, using our classrooms, facilities, training table, coaching, etc and then, in 2014, go to his school of choice? Explain how that is a dumb idea for him assuming he wants out and isn't let out?

Because if he'd rather be at UCLA, he's automatically going to be a cancer in the locker room? Maybe he likes ND but just wants to be closer to home? Because if he comes here for a year and honors his LOI with the intentions of transferring after a year, there's no way he will get here and love ND, the coaches, the players, and change his mind? There's no way he could take in, appreciate, and accept everything ND has to offer? Because he couldn't come here for a year with the intentions of transferring and possibly fall in love with ND and its family atmosphere?
I don't mind a narrow minded and assuming post like yours was, but when you do that and call mine stupid when I'm entertaining ALL possibilities since, again, we really know nothing, that's just, well, stupid.

I expect Notre Dame to do the proper thing. If there is a legit reason that came up after signing day, they'll let him go.
If it's just a change of mind, I expect them to stick to the LOI. There's no reason to not do the right thing, whatever that is.
Eddie of course may/will have a different opinion of the right thing but I trust Kelly and the school here.

He wasn't the only one that had heard rumors but didn't post, but because they were simply rumors until yesterday and nothing more many individuals concluded that it was better to keep speculation like that off the board until something concrete is known, especially when it is a guy who has signed his LOI.

Because I am not going bring something to the board that's a rumor without knowning for sure. It's not my position to bring this info to the board either. I am not going to freak out thousands of people, I am not the only one who knew this info. I respect the people who knew this and didn't bring it to the board. I hope you understand where I am coming from, you might not agree with it but I prefer to keep my mouth shut and not be like ha ha I know something you don't know.
