3. ATH Elijah Hood, Charlotte (N.C.) Charlotte Catholic
Hood worked out at running back during the RCS Charlotte stop and any talk of him being a linebacker at the next level was quickly put to rest. There's no doubt that he's 100-percent running back and will likely be an every-down type bruiser at the next level. However, he did show he can also catch the ball out of the backfield, something the fans at Notre Dame, the school he committed to last month, will be happy to hear.

Pretty good news.

I read this article this morning and it surprised me and made me get a little excited, although read with a grain of salt.

Rivals Article

Here is the excerpt:

"He could go and play linebacker for any major college program next year if he wanted to," Farrell said. "There is nothing to hold him back from beating out [class of 2013 five-star Notre Dame signee] Greg Bryant and forcing (Bryant) to the slot, but there is nothing to hold him back from being great at another position if need be."

I know, I know...it's farrell but still has some substance, I think. Although i think Bryant will have something to say about this...

Thankfully, our offense (and most others) doesn't require you 'beat out' another RB to have a major impact on the game. Both these guys can take 15 carries a game in 2/3 years and that's fine with me.

If the two guys just mentioned are as good as advertised, can you imagine the combinded yardage?

When was the last time we had this many as good? Brooks, Ismail, . . . , Bettis?

Just thinking about our offense this year, next year and 3 years away...I can't help but to get excited. It takes a little edge off of the current situation with eddie. Our defense is going to be great as well, with or without him. The scheme and development that the coaching staff implore is going to keep us in any ball game. Alabama got to see a very young and immature team that had many players in very important positions, young and inexperienced. That will not happen again.

Our skill players are trending up a dramatic rate, we just to get the game changing receiver and our offense will be set.

Excited to hear Hooooooooodddddddddd ring out in the stadium after a touchdown!!
