The school that lands me early playing time. A school that I can step in and turn it around.

West Virginia, Colorado, UCLA, TCU

Something along those lines.

Shiiiiiiiiiit....well then Houston is most definitely the way to go!

Top 5
Notre Dame
Stanford
Ole Miss (women, women, women)
Florida
Duke (would love to official for a Duke/UNC game).

I would choose ND or Stanford based off what I wanted to major in, and or closeness to home).

Norte Dame
Stanford
Duke
Michigan

But I would chose...
Harvard. And it's not even close. If I had the opportunity to attend Harvard through athletics I would take it in a second.

Harvard doesn't offer athletic scholarships.

Harvard doesn't offer athletic scholarships.

Not in the traditional sense, but they have scholarships that are received by athletes.

Taking Notre Dame out of the equation, I don't see any reason not to pick Stanford. USC, UCLA, Florida and Oregon would probably round out my Top Five for reasons of quality football, academics, atmosphere and location.

Went to see ND vs Oklahoma in Norman and they were all classy people with welcoming arms when we showed up. Oklahoma is a great football school with a very passionate fanbase. Ultimately though..., ND would be for me!

So imagine you are a top recruit in the class of 2014, every program in the country wants you, staying close to home isn't a priority, and you didn't have a favorite college football team growing up. You are basically a blank slate. In fact, if it helps, imagine that you are someone like Bjorn Werner who is not from the United States, so the whole college football system is new to you and you have no preconceived notions.

Where would you go?

For me if would definitely be Stanford. I don't even think it's hard. But I'm interested in your thoughts.

Once again people respond with their preconceived notions and not by responding to the O.P.'s actual question. (Even the O.P did that.)

Reps to kuehnja posts 24 and 30 and to GBdomer for playing the game.

You're a top recruit, you're a "CLEAN SLATE", you're a teenager, you're in the prime of your sex life ...

ROI's?, Mendzoza?, National Championships? ... Really. The premise was he knows nothing. Most all of you analyzed factors not in the premise. You exercised your brains.

What did Bjorn do?

He went with the bloodflow. He used his penis incapacitating his brain.

Went to the Land of TaTas. Spent his college years getting laid, not studying calculus ... Then on to the NFL.

FSU

Q.E.D.

By the way Whisky, his R. O. I. is astronomical. Didn't pay a dime for his education, didn't declare the extra benefits, and went on to making NFL bucks. Do the math.

Your R.O.I. Exercise works for the guy that expects to be working for 40 years.

Would check out UT, UF, UCLA, ND, and somewhere either out in the NW like Oregon or WashU or out East like UNC or UVA.

Ultimately, I think I'd take UCLA - campus, location, good academics, traditionally good athletics, the women, and did I mention the campus?

Actually, going back to my first post, I would put Louisville is my top 5 and they would probably be in my top 2. I like their sports management major, they have hot girls, and they are a program on the rise

I'm choosing between:

Miami--Weather/hot hot girls
ASU--see above
UCLA--See above
UGA--See above/bonus SEC
ND--Tradition, education, and exposure.

I see a ton of Stanford, they wouldn't be in my top 30.

Not officially...

Right ... Harvard (like all Ivies, I think) meets 100% of financial need for all students. I wouldn't be shocked if they juke the system a little for athletes to make their financial need a bit greater than it actually is.

Just because a guy is a clean slate doesn't mean he won't listen to coaches telling him about academics and other things. Werner didn't choose FSU just because of girls, first off he had a teammate committed there.

My wife once asked me this: if our son only received two scholarships for football, and they came from USC and Michigan, where would I have him go?

I told her theres nothing wrong with the Community College down the road.

Welp, id commit to SC heading into my senior season.

Decommit at the end of my senior year, take my last official to THE GAME. Commit to urban at the start of the game after seeing no sight of a Percy harvin in the fold at warm ups, decommit by the start of the 4th quarter, verbal to Fred flinstone and scUM and in doing so shut down my recruitment at Freddys rererere request, pack my bags for my EE to scUM, land in south bend.
