I agree with STL, good news for us if it's not LSU. I like our chances against Clemson and UCLA

That's good news for ND

I agree that it would be better to battle those two than LSU, but can we really be certain this is good news? After all if his rankings were UCLA, Clemson, LSU, ND that would not be better than having LSU at #1 with ND at #2.

Not if it turns out to be Clemson.

Because Notre Dame will have to face him? Well, Mr. Russell says...

Has he visited Clemson and UCLA? If so, has he visited ND? Hard to put ND as his top 2 if he hasn't even visited. No surprise.

if he leaves the area and spurns LSU I'll be a little surprised. Seems like LSU has only lost a few in-state kids here and there to Alabama or one of the Florida schools lately.

I agree that him naming UCLA and Clemson as his co-leaders is great for every school recruiting him if that really means that LSU has fallen and that he wants to go out of state. Much easier to recruit against those schools than it is to recruit against LSU for a Louisiana kid.

Dupre will visit this summer than most likely be back for an official.

"LSU has been the main SEC school recruiting me hard," Dupre said. "LSU, UCLA, Notre Dame, Clemson and Florida State are those schools showing me the most love right now. That's who I am focusing on.

ISD just published a free In The Film Room on Dupre:

OVERALL

I think the potential for this kid is through the roof and we haven’t come close to seeing his best football. He’s incredibly athletic with speed and explosiveness being his strongest suits, but he can still make things happen in space. He has terrific hands and can get open anywhere on the field – not just the red zone. He can go up and get the ball over anyone who covers him and with that, has multiple ways he can beat a defense. I see him coming to South Bend and being used as the widest wide-out and being someone who can battle for playing time right away. If you can combine a player with Dupre’s talent with a running game, opposing defenses will have their hands full trying to contain both.

GRADES

Size: 85 (good height – needs to pack on some pounds)

Strength: 80 (will come as the pounds do)
Speed: 85 (runs well – good acceleration)
Athletic Skills: 92 (could be the most explosive receiver ND is recruiting)
Technique: 85 (nice routes – solid hands - great timing)

Versatility: 85 (more than just a guy you throw the bomb to)
Upside: 5 (I’ll take him or Trevion Thompson – both are going to be super players)
Overall Grade: 4

Could end up being relevant to his recruitment. LSU got a verbal from the #1 JUCO receiver D'haquille Williams. Like GITF stated previously they can't sign them all. 247 quotes a veteran talent evaluator after reviewing his film as saying he may be the best receiver prospect he's seen.

There's no way that's a real name.

I have seen a couple of scouts say this guy (D'haquille) is the best WR prospect they have seen, maybe ever.

There are several of them on Tigerdroppings and SECRant. 504 SOLJA is probably the closest to TP in terms of breadth of knowledge (he's mainly on Tigerdroppings): he's a former high school coach at OP Walker (IIRC) and stays in close contact with current Catholic League coaches and the families of recruits. There are a bunch of them with very specific contacts, though.

Gees NOLA, do you know the guys shoe size too? ha

Yeah, sometimes I click on the wrong post on Tigerdroppings and, bam, next thing I know, I've got a 5-hour memory gap and a bathtub full of ice. Strange place.

Can't read the article but the posters are saying its because he wants to take visits, interesting. Since we can't get that guy (D'haquille) and we can take the others, I want this guy (D'haquille) at LSU.
