Hahaha I was about to say something but since I'm technically not a Wisconsinite yet I took a pass.

How's the weather treating you. I swear it's not always this bad, lol.

This year's Wisconsin weather is like the 2008 Detroit Lions. Setting all sorts of records but everyone of them sucks.

just some FWIW out of the 3 QBs Ohio State offered it sounds like they prefer Darlington followed by Allen then Harris. Zack Darlington is OC/QB Coach Tom Hermans favorite of the group and is the 1st QB Ohio State has offered without seeing him throw in person

haha very true, last few weeks have been much better. I was starting to wonder if Wisconsin ever heard of Spring before, let alone Summer.

I regards to Kyle, looks good in the pocket, nice release. If we can get him I would be pleased, but if we can land both Allen and Andrews then I'll be super pumped..... the end.

Invited to The Opening/Elite 11

He was out of his league there today, head and shoulders above the rest of the QBs there per Wiltfong

Fwiw, this sounds a bit like a spin in the making if this kid chooses ND down the road (over OSU).

Nah, its been the plan all along if they couldn't get Watson to leave Clemson, to offer a few more QBs, first come first serve between Allen and Darlington, Meyer Prefers Allen, Herman prefers Darlington, Harris is a plan B/C guy

Color me surprised that Meyer would use that pitch. Why not say he's looking for the next Tebow?

haha

That's good news on Allen, I think I want him at ND more than any other QB we've offered at this point, although his upside probably isn't as high as some of the other, more athletically gifted or stronger armed kids. That said, was anyone else's first reaction to this tweet 'man, Dilfer is such a douche?'

I too really like Allen. I am also getting the impression from some of the articles I've read that the staff is very high on him as well.

Yep. Seems like we started recruiting Andrews hard and then became more enamored of his teammate Allen as we went. Reminds me of Ndukwe and Quinn. IIRC, we were initially recruiting Chinedum Ndukwe, and Ndukwe's dad told us to check out Ndukwe's high school teammate, Brady Quinn, and the rest is history.

Yeah it is but we have to win them. I know we won the Eddie V contest but I am pretty sure Bama is gong to get Frazier and Carter this go around. UGH

So if Allen wants to be a surgeon, what school boasts one of the highest student acceptance rates into medical school?

Undoubtedly 'Bama will sell him some half-truth that makes them look ND's equal in that regard.

They'll use Barrett Jones as an example. "Look you can win a NC, be an Academic AA, and play in the NFL." What they fail to mention is the 80 other scholarship athletes that are damn near failing.

while i get the overall point, if I were him, id only be concerned with 1 persons future. If i felt i could succeed at a school then why do i care about the other players? Thats when the schools reputation comes into play for life after football. Can i feel confident ill find a job after graduation if Im not in the NFL? If so then theres not much more you can do with that kind of pitch

Its easy to say we (Bama/SEC) recruit idiots and ballplayers, but thats them, it doesnt have to be you

The depth chart is in our favor. Doesn't Bama have 7 or 8 QBs on its roster>
