I'm not he's a hell of recruiter and IMO ND was slow playing him because as much as they liked him guys they have Lautua and Schultz considerably higher as well as the hope of getting Mark Andrews and convince into playing as a Flex TE rather than as a true out and out WR.

I'm really curious myself about how it all went down... I think it has to be that Bunting took Helm's spot at Michigan, so Helm committed to his second choice? Don't know enough about scUM recruiting to know whether really makes sense.

I know some people would have liked Bunting at ND, but I'm not disappointed by his Michigan verbal at all. We can recruit tight ends. Weishar is in the fold, and we will continue to add more each year.

Good luck to Bunting at Michigan, but I wouldn't expect him to see many passes thrown his way. The Michigan tight ends are nothing more than another offensive tackle for the running game.

I thought he was like 3rd, at best, on the depth chart. McKeon and Gentry are the top two IIRC, and there is always MM coming in the fall and Wheatley is still around.
