Malachi (Mael Maedoc) was an Irish monk that promoted monasticism in the 12th century. What a first name for a Notre Dame recruit. Is there a 2014 class quarterback with the name of Cormac? If so, we could prophecy a Cormac to Malachi completion with every throw!

This would be ironic.

From Armagh, to Kerry. With Benedict abdicating, and being the last Pope prophesised in the Prophecy of the Popes I wonder if Malachi (Malachy) would have any inside information on Peter of Rome.

i wonder if he's related to marcus dupree from the espn 30 for 30

More likely related to Malachy McCourt, brother of Frank, author of Angela's Ashes. Regardless of who he is related to, he looks like a really good WR.

His name and his look make me think he belongs in Remember the Titans. Kid looks old school.

Oh... DO WANT.

Luuucky.... My parents never bought me the rec specs, just had the regular glasses with the stupid strap till eighth grade.

I went that route until probably 5th or 6th grade when I started breaking glasses playing football and basketball at recess. I can't tell you how little swag is involved with scotch taped glasses and a croakie. Only downside of the rec specs was 7th grade football, trying to fit into my helmet with those things on my head, once I got it on it wasn't coming off until the game or practice was over. Contacts came in 8th grade and it was a life changing experience.

haha we had a little bit of a dynasty in the area back in the day.

The more I see the more I want Dupree.

I actually wasn't going to say it that way, but what the hay.

Article from the local paper(free)

Dupre started for Curtis' basketball team that made shared the District 10-2A championship with Riverside and helping the Patriots to an indoor track championship in Februrary while also having the best high jump mark (6-foot-8) of anyone in the New Orleans area....Dupre tested very well running a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and he also had a 37-inch vertical, although he was unhappy with that mark. Dupre has a personal best of 42 inches in the vertical jump

He didn't give a top list but did say that LSU, Notre Dame, Florida State, Clemson, UCLA and Arkansas were among the schools that were coming at him the hardest.

LSU is pressuring him to commit over the summer, and they'll be hard to beat. I think that of the LA wideouts, though, he and Sims are the most likely to wind up in South Bend.

According to TJ, Cameron Sims and Chi Dupre have been talking with us about visiting this summer and/or fall, and there's been legitimate dialogue both ways at least.

I'm not sure there's another WR prospect available this season with as much slack in his ranking as Dupre. He's an exceptional talent; could easily turn into the top WR in the class by season's end. At the same time, he's inexperienced, plays inferior competition and John Curtis is a running team. He'll be an interesting one to watch.

Apparently Michigan has offered two of his teammates and he definitely plans to visit even though he knows Drake Harris is already committed. Worst part, Jabril Peppers was telling him while they were visiting LSU how awesome Michigan was.

Teammates are :s::s::s::s: ILB Kenny Young and :s::s::s: S Mattrell McGraw

I'm sure Dupre is the central focus there. I wonder if they're probing Kenny Young's interest, too, though. He could be a really nice ILB recruit.

Not sure if they still do this, but as of 2006, guys at John Curtis couldn't take visits during the season.

So if he doesn't visit this summer, he will only get to see ND in frigid weather. Just sayin.

If you look at his profile picture, he's wearing glasses, so you know academics aren't a problem. I like our chances here.
