We've talked about as well as Kelly how physically ready Onwualu, I thought this pic gives some evidence of that:

Physically Onwualu is just as big as Daniels, and Daniels is pretty impressive physically. Compare this to how for example Heuerman probably looks next to the other TEs.

Excited to see him play this spring.

Did any of you notice James Onwaulu in the April 5th highlight film? Fast enough to press a defender into making a decision, strong enough to keep to his route with a defender in his face, shield the ball with his body, and sprint for the TD.

If he keeps this up he will be another Michael Floyd.

From another thread on April 8th video. They may not be competing much Onwualu is getting reps inside and outside. The amazing catch he had along the sideline was from outside, (and did you notice what he does to defenders.) I am calling it, Freshman All-American! LOL.

Christian on ISD said Onwuala has been working at every WR position and that they expect him to be in the mix this year.

Also, he has bulked up, which is scary because the kid was already stacked

I think some expected the bulk up as he never lifted weights. It was all plyo if I am recalling correctly. A kid who gets that strong without ever touching the iron is going to have some huge gains once he hits the weights.

Saw Onwualu, Heuerman, and Bryant walking together on campus earlier this morning. James and Mike appear to be about the same size, with Heuerman maybe being a bit taller. That's great for James, but a little bit concerning for Heuerman as he seems way undersized for a TE. Unrelated, but Bryant is outrageously jacked. Looks like an NFL RB already, just a cartoonish build on that kid.

Also, not to read too much into one picture, but it looks like Elmer has lost some bad weight. He's looking pretty trim and athletic for a human his size.

Heurman is not you classic inline TE. I want you to think of Heurman as an Aaron Hernandez type TE, more of an H-Back.
