During the signing day interview with Alford, I think the interviewer said ND had a whole class of freshmen that could come in and start right away. Alford did not seem to disagree with that statement. Obviously he deflected a little but he went on to talk about how we got a complete team in one class basically including a whole talented OL (LOL!)....Alford was really high on Elmer, Zaire, Bryant, Prosise. I thought that was good to hear.

Hmmm...

Elmer class of 2013, Zaire class of 2013, Bryant class of 2013, Prosise class of 2012.

Clarify "drive-able." Is it a straight, booming drive or does it require a fade, draw or full-on hook or slice? Does it require a flat-out-lucky miss-hit as "someone" described in the golf thread?

Speaking of the golf thread, are these posts kosher in a recruit/signee/player thread?

I see no reason for skepticism about Mr Prosise and his potential at WR.

Coach moved Jackson from a 3rd tier WR to corner and he is starting for a great defense and playing corner like a champ.

Coach moved the newbie recruit Russel from WR/RB to corner as just a freshman and then let him start, and despite a big dose of skepticism from some---all we got from that was a freshman AA and one of the best looking young CBs at ND in a long time.

Coach made this move with Prosise and has been raving about the results, raving not only about the play of the redshirt but the speed that he is developing at the new position.

This all feels to me like the reverse of the Kievarae move and one that could bring just as impactful results to the offense as the Russel move had on the defense.

Prosise has been creating the buzz from spectators and coaches that alot of us were expecting to be getting from Davonte Neal this spring--personally, given the coaches assessments, i think a healthy dose of excitment over adding this new weapon to the arsenal is more appropriate then skepticism.

Prosise's game reminds of Marquis Lee. Both were tabbed as primarily safety prospects coming out of high school. Maybe a bit more explosive than Lee though.

Kelly is a master of moving players to different positions. Along with your examples, at Central Michigan, he moved Joe Staley from TE to T and he became a 1st round draft pick. At Cincy, he moved back-up TE Connor Barwin over to DE and he became a 2nd rounder. Both have enjoyed solid careers in the NFL.

I don't know why everyone is giving me a hard time over the comparison.

1. They both were tabbed as DBs coming out of HS.
2. They're both black - so the 'same race only' comparison rule isn't violated.
3. They both come from states that touch oceans.
4. They were both ran track in HS.
5. Each lists 1 SEC offer in their Rivals profile, indicating that they had a chance of being legitimate football players because only players offered by the SEC are any good.

Lot of similarities.
