Agreed, which is too bad because this kid is a stud. He probably play on college teams right now.

Also Florida and LSU in the last week.

He will end up at OSU or in the SEC.

Yep, Sapp just said that Garrett seems focused on OSU. Bummer.

He did also say not to count us out for Nyles Morgan though. Sapp has met him and thinks he comes across as a ND type of kid, he likes our D and he has a good relationship with Chuck Martin. No prediction or anything; just don't count us out. That's some consolation, I guess.

We don't own Illinois by any means, but I really get my hopes up with elite talent is in Ill. Sucks that he doesn't see the opportunity at ILB, along with everything else you get at ND.

Yeah, there have been conflicting reports, but I believe Morgan's grades are actually fine. Wiltfong is on record as saying that Morgan has a 3.3 GPA and is in all honors and AP courses. Also, Sapp still likes our chances of getting Morgan -- not saying we lead or anything, but we have a real chance.

Garrett appears to be a different story.

I retract my statement then. But Clifton has grade issues.

Yeah - Morgan is more of a question with regards to fitting in with the type of kids ND recruits. Sapp thinks he's a fit but I've heard rumors to contradict.

No interest in ND, but the most recent update from Wiltfong has the SEC and west coast trending upward.

“I’m still liking Ohio State a little bit,” Garrett said. “My focus is starting to shift to schools in the South. I like Ohio State a lot but I want to see more schools in the South and get out and see USC and UCLA and Oregon.”

man...at the end of last season all the pro ND this guy was spitting out made me think ND would be at the top...how quickly that has changed.

Anybody else feel this class has more than a share of this to go around. I mean it is kind of like reaching in your kids pocket, when you are handling laundry, and finding that undefined lump that used to be candy before it was forgotten, melted and merged with lint and a small hapless bug. Something in this class seems to lack the substance and character of last years class, not with ND's current recruits, but with so many of these potential players, kind of like '12 turned out.

Garrett allegedly has transcript issues that would make it very hard for him to pass admissions at ND. I'd imagine the staff has stopped recruiting him as a result. Wouldn't expect a 5:s: to keep us in consideration once the coaches stop recruiting him.

We didn't really want him anyways.......

The #GoldenArmy is on him tonight. Hood, Weishar, and Mustipher have all said stuff to him in the last few minutes.

Several forums including LSU's pOSU's and Tennessee's are reporting a newly released Top 5 over the weekend where Clifton participated in a Rivals camp in Chicago

In order:

LSU
USC
Ole Miss
Florida
Tennessee

Weird that just a couple of months ago pOSU was considered the leader and now they aren't even in his top 5.

He told 24/7 that he was high on LSU, Bama, USC, Ole Miss, and Florida and that LSU was the leader.

Right, but the way ant said it made it seem like his grades are fine enough for ND too. At least that's the way I took it.

not the way I took it. I think ant was saying that the grades are fine to get into OSU.

Garrett is SEC bound, he was all Ohio State early on, but the kid took his trips to schools in SEC land and is now obsessed. LSU, Florida, or Ole Miss most likely.
