I think he could play RB, WR, Safety or LB in college.

Now that I think about this, his film reminds me a bit of Golden Tate's coming out of high school.

LB? He's too small and judging by the combine 40-times, way too fast.

I don't know if GAIII will be beating out anyone for carries. Id say he will be the second or third option this year. His main use is in ST. I say try to take two elite rbs. we could switch Folston to CB or Z Then have a stable of backs still left.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Why can't you people just leave Tarean Folston at RB.

GA3 is a great kick returner.

I agree Folston should play the role of Riddick. A RB who can flex out to the slot.

It's the sexy thing to do now. Leave him at RB.

We will take 2 every year.

Ga3 has done everything we asked him to do. He played third wheel this year behind two very good backs and he was only a soph. We will be loaded at rb going forward, but I wouldn't count ga3 out yet. If he gets opportunities he will produce.

And we took two elite RBs, probably Elijah in this class and Mahone still have four years of eligibility, not to mention that Atkinson and Mcdaniel will still in South Bend in 2014. All of them highly touted recruits.

If finally Hood commits to ND, i don't see another top RB going to ND if he wants to play early. And Nathan Starks does not look like a guy who can wait two or three years to see the field.

Getting elite athletes to commit at positions where we already have elite athletes is one of the next steps in building a national championship program. During USC's run or Alabama's current domination they continued to land 5 star players at positions where there were already 5 stars on the depth chart. Hell USC even had one of their backup QBs start in the NFL. Good enough to start at USC? Nope, but apparently good enough to start in the NFL.

At a certain point it's more about maintaining the talent level, not increasing it. I could see us taking that step at a few positions this year: RB, DE, OL. We aren't there at a lot of positions and we still have some areas where we need to get some elite guys in: WR, ILB, and CB stick out.

Totally agree here...he's a Riddick clone. Like Hood much more but this guy is great at making people miss while still going north/south.

11-turning point
12- desperation to fill major gaps created issues but landed major talent
13- first complete class filled by on field evidence of change

14 - fill last holes in depth chart and add whom we want
15- finally we will be where bama is in picking who we want

Remember when Riddick was a freshman (#32) and the announcers during the first game said he was the fastest player on the team? Well at 4.66 in the 40, that was really sad, Charlie.

Starks is an Athlete?

Listed on 247. In the update with him the other day, he said that ND is the only school recruiting him as a RB, not just an athlete, and that he really, really liked that.

If we really push for him, I think he's ours. Much, much higher chance of him than Sony.

I do remember that. I also remember how average we made Colin Kaepernick look. Now he's leading teams to super bowls.

I thought it was pretty clear that Golden Tate was the fastest on the team.

I don't think there is a RB we have offered that we would turn down if another committed except maybe Nick Chubb who is really interested anyways.

Yeah that 2009 USC team had Stafon Johnson, Allen Bradford, CJ Gable, Joe McKnight, and Marc Tyler in the backfield, all of whom were 5-star recruits. That's depth

Top three of ND, Oklahoma, and USC. SC hasn't offered yet. Will visit Arizona with his old Quarterback.

Favorite quote from the article:
Starks is hesitant to name a lead recruiter for USC at this time because actual contact with the Trojans' staff has been limited. Instead, USC has been dealing mostly with his coaches to this point.

THAT'S BECAUSE LANE CAN'T FIELD A FULL COACHING STAFF
