Wish granted. It seems like him and Vanderdoes would be a package deal. I just don't see the appeal with UCLA. They really REALLY hurt their chances when they got embarrassed against Baylor.

If that's the case then I hope they didn't watch the NC

Haha as much as I agree I think the slashing UCLA got by an unranked Baylor team was worse than our loss. Minus a majority of the ND faithful, not many had us winning the NCG anyway, I gotta think the Baylor upset was a little more of a shock then how poorly we played. IDK, just my opinion. We've got to look a little more appealing than UCLA does as a football team, IMO.

True, but there is so much more that goes into a kids decision than just how good the team played in a bowl game.

I still holding out hope that he jumps on board with a revenge edge because SC left him at the alter so to speak.

At this point, I'll be surprised if he ends up at USC unless Orgeron is a wizard.

Just guessing I think ND has a 20-30% chance of landing Fitts.

If Notre Dame is his last visit then I like our chances. There is just something about that last visit that always stays in the recruits head, especially when its with 10 days of NSD. Hopefully he makes the 40 year decision

The tough thing is that USC/UCLA coaches have a whole week to work on him. I dunno, most people still think he goes to USC. But it is my hunch that ultimately trust issues win out and he goes somewhere else... likely UCLA but ND is definitely in the race now.

Isn't the last dead period just a couple days from now? UCLA better get on it

I am sure we will have people in Cali for whatever visits we can still make to these guys.

247 update just says he really enjoyed the visit and loved the religious aspect of ND as well as the tradition. Reiterated that it will be a very tough decision on NSD an he has no leader. Eddie's decision will have no impact on him but they are both looking for the same things in a school so it's always possible they could end up landing at the same place.

ISD reporting he loved his visit. Haven't read article yet for any good quotes.

It was a short update, ND said he loved everything and it was all great except the cold. Mentioned the faith as 247 and GITF said.

I'm putting my faith in his faith. Sounds a little like Max before he pulled the trigger.

I still think it's UCLA for Kyle, but we certainly put ourselves in a great position with all 4 on campus. I am just always wary of the kids who don't visit with their parents / family actually signing with ND in the end. It's why I think it's so huge EV's parents came.

But as always, once you get a kid to visit ND, anything can happen.

Irish Lax (or anyone): you said you believe ND has a 20-30% shot here. What numbers would you put on UCLA and USC? I was thinking USC and ND are about 20-30% and UCLA around 50% (with USC being slightly more ahead of us). Do you think this is right. Just curious your guys opinion.

Him not coming with his parents is just a serious mental block for me. I don't know if the staff has an in-home visit yet, but the parents not getting out there sounds like a problem because II is saying the family may not be comfortable with the distance.

Stupid weather may prevent him from coming, in my opinion. We'll see.

That's exactly what my uneducated guess is. I think ultimately not having his parents visit + the distance + getting involved so late is going to make this a very tough pull. But we've got a chance.

Thanks for the input, thats what I was feeling in my even more uneducated opinion.
