HUGE bummer, but once we got Folston it never really made sense to take LaRue.

That said, I'd still be thrilled if somehow he ended up at ND, just from a "you can't have too many good football players" perspective.

Good for him. He'll at least have the benefit of playing with a top triggerman for the next two seasons.

Not sure if I want to take this official to Texas A&M with them having 100 commits.

I believe it was John Kerry that said: How do you ask a man to be the last man to commit to Texas A & M?

Seriously, this is getting absurd. Something has to give. They can't be that deliberate in breaking rules, can they? Someone enlighten me. The SEC does have an oversign rule, correct? It's only a few though, right? I'm counting 32 including Sebastian. 32-25=7 that have to be counted as either EE or fall under the oversign limit in the SEC. However, does anyone know how many they have on the roster? Surely they have more than 53. If so, this will put them over the 85 limit. If this is all true, how are teams getting away with this? Is the 25 per year and 85 total limits more guidelines than rules?

AWESOME. TAMU had a spot because a kid flipped to Auburn, but I believe LaRue fills TAMU back up, which puts us in great position with Prevot. With the word from Sapp that Hollins will be really tough to pull from UCLA, that is big.

Yep, 33, and 8th WR. 1 5*, and 5th 4* with LaRue. Per Scout... #1 ranked QB haul, and #1 ranked TE/WR haul. Top 10 in all position categories except RB.

Hope he took Prevot's spot.

According to aTm fans, they've got room for 7 EEs, and several of their current verbals won't qualify. The 7 EEs alone bring them down to 26 verbals in this class, so they technically only need one non-qualifier to make it under 25.

Old link, but you can get the point.

Thanks, and thanks.

That article suggests their number to be 31. 25+6 EEs. If they have 33, then they need at least 2 to not qualify for those who also may not know the numbers.

Scout and Rivals show 8 signed LOIs so guessing class has already started and they have 8 EEs.

247 lists OLB Edward Williams as a grayshirt. So basically he got pushed out when TAMU figured out they could take a few better prospects. Force him to pay and then don't take him next year.

It's shocking to say because he is from near my hometown, but I was never really high on him. I know I am in the minority, but he didn't overly impress me on film as a receiver, nor in the All-Star game. There is a reason that USC let him go and stopped recruiting him. That was no decommitment.

I would like him much more as a corner, but he is set on playing receiver. When ND stopped recruiting him, personally I was not disappointed. I wish him nothing but the best though…

Social media is relentless for college football recruits - ESPN

I thought the piece on Larue using Twitter to be clear was funny considering his tweet about how many commits A&M had.

Sorry for the bump, have a read.

LaRue has been very careful about everything he has put on Twitter and has urged fellow prospect to do the same. His advice is not to joke around about anything on social media because words, ellipses or accidental question marks can and will be misconstrued.
