"Hey remember that one time I was offered an improper benefit that could potentially cost the booster's school millions, me my eligibility, and other student athlete's seasons? That was hilarious!"

Put a muzzle on these kids. Unbelievably stupid thing to admit in an interview.

Well if he does show up next weekend you gotta think that's good for us. This seems to be very secretive and that keeps me optimistic.

Do people think he will actually play RB at USC? If we like him better at LB, I'm sure they do too.

ND isn't and has not recruited Ty as a LB despite all this stupid talk of him being too tall he's all RB.

He's not just a good RB, he's an elite RB who's got faster 40 times than both Bryant and Folston and has better hands which actually says a lot as both of them have very good hands.

Being recruited at running back, will be a running back. Imagine his size lining up in the backfield, going out in motion to line-up at wide reciever. Huge mis-matches presented to the defense. Especially if a two tight end system is being used. Oh the possibilities.

Come back to earth. I see 1% he flips to ND.

No way to puts on it right now. Way too many moving pieces. Whether he visits next weekend or not affects the odds an insane amount.

0.1% chance if he doesn't visit; very real chance if he does.

Premature Postulation. It's not pretty.

I hate when I blow my excitement early!

You know, I been thinkin'. A truly scarry proposition. But I thinks that USC wants him at running back because they got, almost zero. And they go through what? About 2.4 per year?

Many schools want him at LB. That is what Ty does not want.

ND's secret weapon. Ty will play both RB and WR. He will line up all over the field!

I bet this appeals to Ty. A bevy of qb's, pick your poision, that can get him the rock. If he gets on campus, I think the odds go WAY up. WAY, WAY up!

(You can blow your Holeshot of excitement now.)

KeiVarae Russell was recruited as a RB as well.

Think Deontay Greenbury and Houston. Visit that late and you have legit interest and most likely a flip.

I believe BK recruits kids that are competitors first and foremost. If he believes that they are truly competitive in spirit, and talented enough at the position, then he will recruit them at that position. He will truly give them the opportunity to compete for that role on the team, but he knows that their competitive spirit will not allow them to sit on the bench if other players are better at that position. He knows that not seeing the field will either make them transfer (which means he misjudged their competitiveness) or they will listen to his advice of trying another position that will get them on the field.

That's my opinion.

Right, good comparison. I'm less interested in what Isaac's being recruited as than in what he can do. While I'm one of those who thinks Isaac is a GREAT running back prospect for us, if he comes to ND it may turn out that we have plenty of outstanding RBs but lack elite athletes at ILB. Isaac is definitely the sort of elite athlete who could fill in there, a la Russell at CB.

I don't care what position he plays. I just want him on the team. NFL dollar wise, it would not surprise me if a LB made more over the course of a career than a RB these days. RBs are more and more an afterthought these days.

Would you care to expound?

I don't agree. I'm just trying to understand what you mean?

How much defense did Isaac play in high school?

I was wondering the same thing. I keep hearing that he looks like Barr but I haven't seen any film with him on D. In theory that sounds good though so I hope whether he plays RB or LB that he is playing for us!
