I hear ya, but they're the fan base with the highest hopes of landing him. Someone said that their message boards are sure he's going there. Probably more daunting for their fan base to hear that, than us ND fans since we're the proverbial dark horse.

I'd be curious to know the percentage of de-committs that end up re-committing to their original school. I've only followed recruiting the last three years, but I don't recall it happening all that much.

I think we hear about a visit to bama if it happens...even if he his shutting down communication with the media. Would be pretty cool if he shuts down all recruiting activities after ND Official Visit and climbs on board...understatement of the day.

Well, for us, Stephon Tuitt (ND-GT-ND) and Aaron Lynch (ND-FSU-ND) come to mind

The tuitt situation is different though as ND got him to flip back just says later. I would also love to know the % of prospects de-commits that recommit when it's more than just days or a few weeks.

You don't believe that him backing off of twitter is going to be good for us?

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, I don't get why that would hurt or help us.

He only tweeted that he would shut down the media. He didn't stay he would shut down his twitter activity. On other visits he provided many comments on how it was going...I was just wondering if we were going to get our info from him directly on twitter. This is neither good or bad for ND...IMO

He is just sick and tired of being contacted by media. Don't blame him. But, he could just commit to ND and shut the whole process down.

I hope it drives everyone nuts. Serves us all right for being so obsessively compulsive about these high school kids.

1. ND has 3 sites alone that would call him (ISD/Rivals/247) and a 4th if you count scout..but irisheyes is pretty much dead. Add in usc/bama/ucla/washington...thats 7 phone calls at minimum if he tweets/says anything recruiting related. Not to mention ESPN recruiting, local papers, etc. So its at LEAST 10-15 calls from media alone. Next you have the lead guys for each site calling for his region calling. Farrell texting him to not go to ND. THen you deal with each school calling. Thats a MIN of 5 calls. You subtract media...you have to deal with the schools and two weeks from signing day, its a move to get your mind right.

2. I dont think you can take anything from him shutting out the media via a twitter message. I think he knows where he needs to be from what I have heard, but at the sametime its not from Eddie V himself.

3. ND is right where they want him, everything checked out personally/academically/athletically. He is still visiting and didnt cancel or have some obligation come up. So right there in itself is all ND is looking for...and that is a chance to sell ND to him for 2 days. Jaylon coming up isnt a concidence. No offense but I bet Jaylon isnt up there next weekend.

sorry.. care to elaborate? Who aren't you offending, and which weekend are you referring to? 25th & 26th or 1st & 2nd?
